I feel your pain Mark, we did a 2k square feet of shop T&G at a industrial trucking outfit,mechanic shop that runs 60 semis year round. Tile and grout hadn't been cleaned in 20 years and there had been cubicle down for that long too. So there was brand new areas of untouched tile we had to blend the rest of the dirty areas with. We tried every chemical at every strength, even PC 45, dawn dish soap with crb and 175 with both pads and brushes. We were about to give up and call it as good as it gets until I grabbed a 3M specialty prep pad and thats where the magic happend. I couldn't believe it honestly Where there's a will there's a way and tenacity won that night. Cheers looks good fellas, proud to see my fellow MN guys braving the Temps year round no weather to cold.

Thank you! And I'm going to get some of those 3M prep pads too 😁. I've got a shelf with a lot of pads, but of course... I didn't bring them. But the 3M specialty pad I don't have yet 😁. Stay warm. It's been a bit of a challenge the past couple of weeks with the cold 🥶🤪

I'm really glad you all are skilled in this area and level of cleanup. It is a different branch than power washing, roof cleaning, yard cleanups but vital for the function and safety of society. I've caught videos before on severe carpet and other work. Thank you for the recovery here (and hope the kitchen floor was done as well, as it looked to be a source). Nice to note that other people are chipping in their experience.

Thank you so much. We didn't clean the kitchen. It was a VCT type tile floor that would need a strip and wax but the places was pretty clean to be honest. But this was years of build up from inside and outdoor tracking onto the tile. The owners didn't know about professional tile and grout cleaning but now they do and we think we will be back at least once a year now. Really nice people. It was a tough job but we really did have fun taking it on 😊. Thank you for your comment and support. We appreciate you sharing too 😊

Some tips for these jobs. I find running Max heat on the machine tremendously helps with extractions, but makes your prespray evaporate quicker, so use powdered defoamer. We use bridge point systems for tile grout (viper venom alkaline and viper renew acid). On heavy soiling and grease like this I like to add some citrus solve 1-3 oz/gal to my high alkaline it helps tremendously. Some stiffer brushes such as black tile brushes for the CRB/brush pro will go a long way. Tracing the grout lines specifically with the CRB helps, this was an extreme situation. Sometimes I’ll take a stripper pad (I know risky) to ceramic tile for extremes, also works well for polished concrete even unpolished concrete sub floor. The rotary floor scrubber offers better mechanical agitation for surface soiling. The crb is better for grout.
@MarkSaiger
@MarkSaiger 11 күн бұрын
@@TheJared1445 great info. We ran Max heat. I would have used a red pad if I had one on board and might have also brought my Malish brush for my Trinity OP machines also if I would have known how bad this one really was 😁. We had our Saiger's Sauce Tsumani Alkaline Tile and Grout with our Harvard Chemical G-Force Booster which is a liquid soy Booster in the mix. I even tried a very powerful 65 percent De-Limolene and it just was going to fight back 😅. But we got it with the good old fashioned scrubbing. That's what I get for not putting in more equipment 😅

im not sure of how much pressure the wand gives, but i feel if you had a pressure washer, and a donut shape vacuum attachment for the tough spots, i think it would clean that up, as normally if you can scrape it off, a electric jet washer would be enough to remove it. Beats scraping manually. great work guys btw

The spinner tool we are using has 2 jets spinning under it. We are running at 1100 psi. We do have a little hand held jet sprayer we could use but it's really hard to control where all the water would go. This was some pretty ground hard grease. It just unfortunately needed to be hand scrubbed too. The other problem you can run into is breaking and popping the grout if the pressure gets too high. It's a crazy type of job with a situation like this one. But thank you for your comment. I like how you think 😁👍

Good day and thank you 😊 We would have done maybe a little quicker work with a more aggressive scrub pad under that machine. And they do make a rotary scrubber machine that is heavier and might have also helped. There is no self contained machine that would be as powerful as we had with the spinner tool. We were running 1100 psi. Unfortunately something with more pressure could have blown out the grout. So we then have to resort to scrubbing like we did 😁. We just had to work for the results. Glad to hear there are others enjoying our cleaning chemistry too. Your English was wonderful by the way 😊

At first I thought this was a home, then I can see it's a restaurant. 15 years before they ever had the floors professionally cleaned? Disgusting.

@@dutycalls4991 they just didn't know anyone professionally cleaned tile and grout. We think they will have it done at least yearly now 😊

give the employees a set of 1 dozen of those brushes and a spray bottle of the cleaner and tell them to each scrub ONE of those nasty spots every night. anyone who works has to scrub only one. if they keep the worst spots clean it wont be as difficult as it was right then. it wont be hard on anyone.

Definitely strength in numbers 😁 The owner was asking for tips to try and keep it clean. 😁 I think they really want to do more with it to try and stay ahead of it. I also think it could be a yearly job for us now they know we do clean tile and grout 😁

Instead of goofing around comments, try explaining your equipment, your processes, why you choose one thing over another, etc. Educate on your business. And the amount of grease and dirt is much greater in a bar like this than in a home.

It really was. The tile had so many ridges and textures. A difficult tile to clean especially for the owners of the place

This is just a small restaurant bar out in the woods. The kitchen is actually quite clean and they do scrub and clean, but this floor had not been professionally cleaned and they didn't know about us. They didn't know there were people who could clean tile and grout. This Tile had so much character and crevices and dimples, just over time the soils got trampled in and regular mopping could not maintain it. They will most likely have us back yearly at least to do a deep clean on this floor

They a lot of times can, but this kitchen was in pretty good shape. It was just a major years build up trying to maintain this Tile floor that had so many grooves in it. They also didn't know there was a professional service available to clean tile and grout. I think we will be back yearly at least to clean this 😊
