Ha I do the same thing with my drip acclimation gear, I also add a plant weight to the air stone end to weight it down.

I use the same breather bags to ship and I knew better than that lol! Nerves played a part I’m sure🤣😂😅 dang 9 days… I had an order of 10 full sized black mollies I shipped to New Jersey, and the shipping delayed it was 6 days and all 10 made it good👍🏻 great job saving them mark!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️thanks again🙂👍🏻

I'm not a fan of these bags. The real blue label ones I was getting directly from China through alibabba. Went to get more and the seller disappeared. Been trying out different onces since and am not really in love with any of them. Thought I found blue labels on ebay, got 700 and they were crappy knock offs. Going the affordable shipping route is a compromise and these things happen sometimes, all my shipments are guaranteed live arrival with in reason. Had shrimp live 20 days in mail before with 0 deaths. As long as they dont get too hot or too cold and dont get crushed shrimp can go for weeks in shipping.

@@MarkShellyAquatics so far the green labels seem to work pretty good , I remember the old kordon bags they were good. It’s amazing technology the breather bags, I’m always thinking to myself when I ship…do these things really work😅 I’m always nervouse on shipping days though. I offer live arrival guarantee, 0n animals but I don’t on the shipping.

When you say you do not want to float the bags, why exactly is that?

There is no air in the bag, as long as the bag is exposed to air it allows air in and air out. Put the bag in water and since there is no air in bag they will run out of oxygen super quick.

I didn't acclimate the first time around with my sky blue velvets. only 3 survived out of 8. Ordered a total of 10. The seller sent me 11, but 3 died during transit and water smelled like ammonia. After that, I started to acclimate and had a higher survival rate. I only do it for 1 hour.

Yeah, you can definitely do it too long. Just an hour or 2 makes a big difference.

I work at the post office and they toss those boxes around sad but true. I don’t agree with this but they do it unfortunately.
