In my view, smart investing is not just a method for generating passive income but also a strategic way to save for future financial needs. Those who don't make sound decisions early on often find themselves regretting it later. However, investing can be complex and risky when done alone. That's why I strongly suggest seeking guidance from a professional. The key is not simply absorbing information from videos or books, but applying that knowledge wisely in real-world situations.

If you wanna be successful, you most take responsibility for your emotions, not place the blame on others. The most common investment portfolio strategies include diversification, where you spread investments across different asset classes to manage risk. Another is the growth strategy, focused on capital appreciation through high-risk, high-reward assets. Income-oriented strategies target regular income from dividend stocks or bonds. There's also the value strategy, seeking undervalued assets for potential long-term gains.

It’s always advisable to Invest judiciously, keep a stop loss figure. Shuffle between debt and equity wherever the ratio goes too off your target. As for the target I use an FA who recommends a Ratio like this Debt % should be equal to your age in years. If you are 20, debt is 20%, reset in equity. If the market falls or rises drastically, your debt % will change, which you should rebalance to 20% and bring back equity to 80%. Thus you would have bought low or booked profit depending on if it was a crash or a bull run. Used this to build a 7 figure portfolio.

This is excellent advice. I've done most of these suggestions during my lifetime. Now I am retired for 12 years (I'm 71) and still have 5-6 streams of income on top of 2 pensions, social security and so forth. I started this plan at age 23 with $17 in my checkbook and now look what has happened. Any one can do it if you are motivated and disciplined.😃

Unfortunately, not all of us were financially literate early. I was 35 when I finally educated myself and started taking steps. I went from $176,000 in debt with zero savings or retirement to now, 2 years later, fully debt-free and over $1000,000 net worth. I know that doesn't SOUND like a lot, but I'm incredibly proud of it. Hi Mark, I’ve been in the insurance industry for 10 years. The piece of advice I can give all your listeners is buy your insurance policy at a young age while we are healthy!! For life insurance keep away from whole of life just buy a term life such as 20/25 years until your kids are in full time employment. Of course if you add critical illness premium will jump but also essential. Your figure for health care is wayyyyy off completely dependent on where you are in the world and your current health status. A family of 4 for example in the UAE for comprehensive cover could be 15/20k USD per year. Love your videos !
@thewitchofwallstreet26 күн бұрын
That’s fantastic advice, especially about starting young with insurance-too many people wait until it’s more expensive or harder to qualify. Totally agree on term life being a better fit for most people over whole life policies. And wow, $15-20k USD for health coverage in the UAE is eye-opening-definitely shows how much these costs vary globally. Thanks for sharing your expertise!

2 boxes of cereal a week into the S&P500 (8%) is $100,000 in 40 years. Of which, $81,000 is interest. Do this with 10 items and there's a million.
@JupiterThunderАй бұрын
Mark says he eats a box of Coco Pops every day. I eat about one a box per week. So if I switch to cheap brand I will not make the money he suggests. Let's face it, going to Aldi is not going to make you a millionaire.
@JoeGoldLifeАй бұрын
@@JupiterThunder it's the principle of the idea. $5 a week doesn't seem like much, and it isn't, but it shows how a tiny and reasonable compromise can contribute a massive 10% to the million. How hard is it to turn 20k into 100k? Buy a different brand and stick to it. This is why multiple streams of income are critical, each stream contributes to the overall goal, as well as offer safety through diversity. Buying a different brand of cereal won't make you a millionaire, but a collection of positive changes in financial behaviour will; some changes as small as buying a few cheaper brands.

Great video Mark, thank you for sharing. I am doing dropshipping, and I feel like it's getting easier and easier every single day. We now have some really powerful tools (like a little bit of winnerzila for example. It's a huge base of products, and you get everything else you need for your store). I am subbed on their lifetime access plan for seven months already, and last month I had $22000 profit. Of course, first few months are tough, but it's gonna pay off eventually.

I am currently holding north of $250,000 in Cash in bank making me around 5.15% currently. I was advised to invest in the stock market as its good for passive income and high returns. but right now I need strategies to invest to secure my financial future

Be sure that the stocks your'e buying into have market-beating yields and they pace with the market long term. It's best to seek guidance from a fiduciary to gain clarity and guidance because the market is very volatile.

Right, a lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their emotions, no offense. During the covid-outbreak, I needed a good boost to stay afloat, hence researched for advisors and thankfully came across one with grit. As of today, my cash reserve has yielded from $350k to nearly $1m.

I wasn't the biggest fan of many of the older videos, but this one is pretty close to what Ramit Sethi teaches on his own show, which is promoting a good but sustainable lifestyle while building your wealth. As a 24 year old I'm trying to live by these principles, I refuse to buy a car unless I'm 100% sure I need it (the metro and trams/buses are perfectly serviceable and costs me a small fraction of what car payments would be), I'm not ordering food or eating out except once or twice every two weeks, otherwise we are cooking for ourselves. I'm not a drinker so I save quite a bit of money on alcohol too. All this allows us to afford what actually matters to us, which is great vacations every year, spending a lot on our hobbies while still building our wealth for the long run. I think the key is spending less on things that you don't really care about or need, which frees up money for things that you actually want, which will include investing/saving. It's a great feeling seeing your investment account grow while you live a decent lifestyle. I have some business plans for later on, and the capital that I'm building now will help achieving these goals.

Market trends hint at lower prices, but this could also open doors for smart investments. Despite a possible short-term slump, remember the market's long-term potential. Downturns can be entry points for portfolio expansion. Success lies in informed decisions and strategic planning. Though I got a late start at it in my late 30’s, I now have a 3 fold plan to become financially independent. 1: pour extra funds into my mortgage. 2: making daily investments into a couple of different micro investing platforms. 3: making small trinkets out of wood and selling them for a little extra cash. Whilst this last one is not making me rich, I’m almost at a point now where the woodworking hobby is starting to pay for itself. Furthermore, it’s a good investment into my mental well-being and helps moderate the soul crushing effect of my 8-6 job.
