I Recently bought some recommended stocks and now they are just penny stocks. There seems to be more negative portfolios in the last 3rd half of 2023 with markets tumbling, soaring inflation, and banks going out of business. My concern is how can the rapid interest-rate hike be of favor to a value investor, or is it better avoiding stocks for a while?

Mark’s dead right. I’m around his age now but in my early years my wife and I started importing jewellery and semiprecious stones etc and every weekend we’d load up the car and travel up and down the coast wholesaling to retailers. That became our niche market rather than direct sales. We did it for around ten years until the trend fell away. It was for us like having an extra full time income for those years. We paid out our house mortgage and we had a debt free lifestyle. It gave us the capital to buy realestate but it was important to learn the lesson of buying in the right location where you can rent well and win capital growth. Don’t just buy any property! Mark’s lessons here are valuable!

One of my biggest regrets is not investing in index funds and crypto when I was younger. I am 29 now and just learning about investing. I fear I have lost valuable years of compounding as all my savings were sitting in a very low interest bank account from the age of 23 to 28, although I did manage to purchase a property in London last year with the deposit I saved. The credit card tip is probably the most important. Having a good credit score at a young age is highly important. Even if you have 6+ credit cards and only use one, keeping those accounts open can really help in the long run with account age. As long as you pay off your balance every month, using credit cards at an early age can be very important for future financial decisions such as buying a new car or getting a loan on a house.

When legislation comes there might be a general crash and you have to be prepared that some crypto might not be able to recover from this coming review enforced by law. If a large sum of money has to be transferred, it could take a bit of time and communication with an exchange. When the news comes out, the coins will pump as they always do. But what will go up? What will go down? Will there be mergers (is it even possible)? All I know is that it's certain crypto is here to stay, no matter if there is another housing crash or financial crash, it will still be here after and maybe play an even more important and proven role years from now. We live in the digital world now and networks that run on 22kb, networks powered by just a few windmills or maybe hydrogen in the future. I think those are parts of a digital ecosystem that we will need insane transaction methods without the current bottlenecks if processing power and ai efficiency keep on rising.

Thank you for the advice, some of these things I already do at 20 years old like investing in index funds, learning, and credit card churning, and others I will do as soon as I can, like owning real estate and setting up businesses. Both of my grandpas were not around for my entire life, so its nice to have older men like yourself to take advice from and learn from. You've become my internet grandpa of sorts. Thanks Mark!

The thing that i find misleading is that rea estate is a guaranteed cash flow. You cant just expect to buy a proprty and magically make profit if the loan ends up being at the same or higher than the rent, assuming you can rent it without much down time from finding new renters.
@xbigxbirdxx58463 жыл бұрын
For example, You get $400,000 loan and you only need to put 3.5% down on $420,000 house. That’s $14,700 and that leaves the rest of your loan for if needed upgrades/repairs of the house but should not be no more then $60k unless it’s in need of a lot of repairs or you can’t do it yourself. You can pocket the loan money or you can use it to pay off the mortgages while looking for people to rent to. With this house you could expect 1.7-1.9k in mortgage payments depending on what’s covers, and expect rent to be at least 2k a month. You won’t get rich quick but with this you’ll be able to get more money and net worth faster than most. Edit: It’s not guaranteed cash flow but it’s to the point where if you know you’re way around it that it will be guaranteed cash flow one way or another.

Hi, I always rent residential to families and make sure they want to stay long term. As long as you put down enough deposit the rent will be more than enough. Be a good landlord and you get good tenants. Thanks MT 😎

I must say. This is great advise for the current times because instead of a person from the older crowd just saying generic financial advise that would have worked when you were young, you said something that caught my ear, that part about turning gaming into a side hustle. Shows you are invested in giving advise that can work in todays age. Solid advice.

After the recent events with chips being more scarce, I’ve noticed used cars are being a lot more expansive, would you say the cheap car strategy would still work?
@mikel9003 жыл бұрын
Yes, it only seems to be cars up to around 5-6 year old that are holding value, anything more than that, you’ll still get a good deal. I actually flip cars myself, and have profited around £7000 from 3 cars.

Great tips here Mark. I’m thankful to have had people around me learn expensive lessons as they neared their 30s and were able to pass their wisdom along to me. This video solidifies some of these lessons and at 26, I’ve been on that journey to investing more in myself these last few years for a great time in my 30s and 40s and so on.

I’m 17 and currently studying at college but I hate it so much, my biggest fear is working a 9-5. I know time is valuable and I need to make as much money as I can in little time which is why I know I don’t want a 9-5, I have a current side hustle but college often takes up most of my time. Idk what to do, I want to drop out but my mum doesn’t believe in me and says I need college and it’s the only way to get a job

dont make the mistake I did with buying a fancy-er car. at 20 I had 14k saved and wasted 11k on the car. definitely keep the car you have until it breaks, invest / save the rest. im 22 now doing better, goodluck! (:

I 100% recommend investing money in either a 401(k) or a Roth IRA. If you have some extra cash it is 100% legal to invest into both, but not always easy. Investing into at least one of these powerful engines now will help you get some financial freedom and. abundance
