I use Evoto. I very much like the payment model and how it's structured. AND I AM BLOWN AWAY at the sophistication of this retouching software. Time is money and this program saves me HUGE amounts of both. The tethering feature is INSANE - my subjects cannot believe they look so good; I simply tell them I use very expensive portrait studio lighting designed to hide flaws and emphasize their best features.

@@tmewborn1 You only pay 1 credit for each export. There's no cost to edit. And you can't export if you don't have a credit. There's no way to run up a huge bill without knowing it. The base price is 7 cents per credit.

Excellent Software, To me the bad thing is the pricing. I am not comfortable with this "Credit Pricing Thing" to me it leaves a lot of unknowns. For example how much would it cost me to do the enhancements you did in this video??? Your /video would be better for me if your started of with slider changes then worked up to creating Presets. Sure anything is easy to enhance if the preset has been made & saved. Those of us interedted in purchasing want information from basic tools, use there off then creating presets. The credit pricing at the present time is the thing that keeps me from biying this excellent software!! Thanks for you video.

Great video Mark! I have just started using Evoto and absolutely love the software! What is your work flow while using Evoto? Do you still use Photoshop/Lightroom? In the past I imported my images to lightroom (which would automatically convert my raws to DNG) and then organize/ edit in Lightroom. Then I would do the heavy editing in Photoshop. Now I am wondering if I can import DNG's into Evoto or if I need to change my workflow? Do you have any suggestions?
@MarkWallaceVideos2 ай бұрын
I still use LR for all my catalog work and most of my editing. You can export images from LR and import them into Evoto - then import those into LR for saving in your catalog. Evoto is working on full LR integration, hopefully that will happen in the next year. I'm don't have any idea of the timeline, I just know it's in the works.

Hi Mark Admire all your videos that I’ve seen, whether your channel or Adorama. 👍🏻 When I do portrait work I have been using Anthropics Technology, Portrait Pro Studio, and I’ve gotten quite used to the product and processes even after all the updates/upgrades. The question: Do you think this Evoto product will take anything away from portrait photographers? I know photoshop has AI as does Lightroom, and I think even Portrait Pro has some AI technology, but this Evoto seems next level. Maybe it’s just me, though. I don’t know. Do we really need AI to do almost everything for us? Not looking to start an argument or anything with anyone, just your honest opinion. Cheers Mark

At this point there is no automatic LR/Evoto integration. I have suggested it to the developers and hopefully it's on their roadmap. You'd have to manually export/import from LR to Evoto and back. But, I wouldn't be surprised if that integration happens soon.

Thank you for this great video! Do you consider this software as a Capture One replacement? If you already have LightRoom, Photoshop, and Capture One, can you import the images you took using those applications? Thanks in advance!
@MarkWallaceVideos3 ай бұрын
I'd use it as a supplement to Capture One or LR. You can move images between capture one/LR/and evoto with no problem. You can edit the raw file in Evoto and then export it as a TIFF or PNG file to be used/edited in LR or Capture One. Or you can export images from other software and import to Evoto. Just use standard file formats and you'll be good to go.
