It sounds like you're describing the editing software Evoto, which seems to use advanced algorithms or AI to assist with photo retouching and background editing. The issue you’ve noticed-where altering a woman's waist also inadvertently changes the proportions of her arms-indicates a flaw in the AI's modeling logic or the constraints applied during edits. This kind of error happens when the system doesn't understand human anatomy well enough to isolate changes to specific areas without affecting others. If it's genuinely AI-based (and not just rule-based algorithms), it would indeed be possible for developers to train the model to avoid such mistakes by feeding it more data or refining its algorithms. However, for now, this kind of issue may still require manual correction, especially for professional-level results. Despite this error, tools like Evoto can undoubtedly save time for simpler tasks like background adjustments or quick touch-ups. Just be cautious when relying on automated tools for detailed, high-quality retouching-it's always good to double-check the results.

Great job, could you please share the round trip with Lightroom Classic. Myself and others are having problems exporting back to Lightroom
@OriginStudiosPhoto3 ай бұрын
Couple of ways you can do it, (bearing in mind you don't have to do the raw edit in Lightroom) I've just been right clicking and licking Edit in Evoto Photo Editor. There are some options, I went for Tiff, Prophet Colourspace, 16bit 300ppi, no compression. When you export it from Evoto (or the ones you want to keep) there is an option to click a checkbox which will overwrite the tiff file copy that Lightroom created. In the thumbnail you will see an icon which when you click it will pop up a box asking you to overwrite or import the settings Ade by the external program and you need to do that. Alternatively you could just export all your Evoto edits to a folder and then import it to Lightroom, or export them to the same folder as the originals and then synchronise the folder to import them. If someone has some better options I'm all ears!

Amazing AI processing. Eventually, even bad photogs will be able to produce professional looking images. It's like AI produced written work.

"Bad" photographers will be able to edit like a pro - but nothing replaces the ability to compose and tell an interesting story. I think there will always be a difference in skill, no matter how much technology changes.

With every form of art there is an evolution. The same happened with painting styles over the millennia (those crazy Impressionist were banned from exhibitions in the 1937 World's Fair in Paris), the fight between the F/64 group and the Surrealists, and on and on. There will always be new tools, new styles, new ways of creating. Some survive, others don't. AI is here to stay, what we do with it is up to us.

Thanks Mark. I’ve been enjoying this too. A big thing I wish they’d fix is allowing to toggle off / on individual sliders. Perfect example is when you had to slide it back to zero with skin retouch. The before/ after choice is back to original. If I just removed a bunch of acne, I don’t want that coming back too. For me, that makes it hard to evaluate the skin retouch.

The only feature I want is to be able to buy the software. I will never ever pay for credits/pay as you go/ no matter how good it is. Hear me Evoto.
@OriginStudiosPhoto3 ай бұрын
I know what you mean but the cost is dependent on the volume of edits you make which reflects the server time you use, Evoto doesn’t work if you aren’t online as the AI processing isn’t on device. It is amazing and there’s loads not shown in this video.
@wildone1063 ай бұрын
@@OriginStudiosPhoto I get it. I generate AI stuff on my computer so if you have a descent video card it could be done. Maybe have an option for both so people with good computers can run it locally?
@MarkWallaceVideos3 ай бұрын
Yep, as @orginStudiosPhoto said, it's about the server costs for Evoto (and every other AI software company). Hopefully newer price models will emerge for Evoto and Adobe, Skylum, etc. But for now, they are all working out how to pay for those big data centers doing all the heavy lifting.
@OriginStudiosPhoto3 ай бұрын
@@wildone106 Sadly the whole business world seems to have gone down the subscription route rather than ownership, I think the goal is you will never own anything. I get your point though, offline AI is possible , presumably it's the open source stable diffusion platform you're using? I guess it's always possible that might change and it will be a good reason for people to upgrade their computers. I think with this one like many others they are looking to drive as much revenue as they can and the more you use it the more valuable it is but if you don't use it it's also not costing you anything. Software development isn't cheap. Evoto does see to be squarely aimed at working pros at the moment a bit like Imagen. I will say that at least for now they seem to update it on a regular basis at the moment (unlike Adobe *cough*)
@Keyboardwarrior42Ай бұрын
@@MarkWallaceVideosbut what is the need for those servers if people want to do it localy on their devices without the need of an active internet conection. Especially when there are privacy concerns involved. We don't really know what evoto does with our pictures and i find it more than concerning to hand them over my pictures. As @wildone106 said, whats the point in their servers if everyone got a decent graphics card doing the heavylifting? Is it because they want to grab our photos?

@@MarkWallaceVideos I don't have a particular favourite video Mark, nor any questions to ask on any specific subject. Also I do know that your not a entertainer, in the traditional sense, but tutoring does need a light hearted side. But did find in your older videos, your manner of presenting kept me absorbed, therefore listening to what you were explaining. So when I say they are becoming boring, it's not from an entertainment point of view, it's just I'm less absorbed now, therefore your not holding my attention. I think sometimes that explaining certain types methodology it feels a little dragged out in the explaining thereof. Maybe it's becoming an age thing, but here's hoping future videos will become absorbing again, I'd hate them not to.
