in my opinion, when the iphone 5 upgrade (iPhone 5s) came out, it had a lot more usefull features then the S4 to the S5. Like two tone flash, slow- mo, better battery, touch id, new chips, colours, and more. The S5 didnt get so much features that i liked.

Out of the features you liked the S5 also added slowmo (and more new cam features), better battery, touch id (although i do think the S5 one will be worse than the iPhone one, we'll have to wait and see), new chips, colours and more. The 2-tone flash is the only thing missing but i think being waterproof more than makes up for that...

FYI, for all those saying they copied the gold and the fingerprint scanner should realize that Samsung had already produced gold versions of their previous non-Android phones and Motorola invented the first fingerprint scanner on the Atrix. So Apple "innovated" the ideas and Samsung further innovated them. I know, I read and Google a lot.

Robert Clements No I understood completely. I think the jump from iPhone 5 to 5s was bigger than the jump from S4 to S5. Slightly changing the design of the product (as Samsung did) to make it look uglier doesn't make it a big change.

Michael Stokes Apple significantly improved the camera on the 5s. Unlike Samsung, Apple aren't blinded by the megapixel myth which it seems even you, "being someone that works with every phone on the market every day" have. Apple take the design of their product seriously which is why they don't feel the need to change it out slightly every year like Samsung does. You know a company has no design direction when they start describing the design of their product as "glam'. The heartbeat sensor is a gimmick as it has been possible on most phones for a number of years through the camera and an app. The Samsung fingerprint sensor is infinitely inferior to the iPhone's, being both inaccurate and unreliable. Apple put a 64bit desktop class processor, and yet again, weren't blinded by just putting more cores and ghz like samsung. Instead of worrying about pixels and numbers, Samsung should be diverting their attention to making the product better in real life rather than on paper. Samsung products still lag, even with their multi core processors.

Excuse me, but Samsung's S5 is now gold, right after they figured out that Apple's iPhone 5s in gold is almost always sold out, and they also had to go ahead and sneak in a fingerprint scanner. Not just a fingerprint scanner, but one into the HOME BUTTON. Sound familiar? Oh yeah. Apple did it last year.. "Galaxy S5"... more like "Galaxy 5S" I'll stick to my S4 seeing as it actually feels like a Galaxy, not a beefed up iPhone copy.

If anyone is interested in the Heart-rate monitor, their are 2 ios apps, that I know of, that are proven to be almost as accurate as an actual physical heart-rate monitor. One of them was demoed on Dr. Oz. They can measure based on either your face or finger. I'm not sure of how the face based measure works, but the finger based method required you to place your finger on the back facing camera on the iPhone, and then the flash will pulsate, the camera can interpret the data that your blood gives off when illuminated by the flash.

If you buy a 64GB model and put in a 64GB micro SD card then that gives you 128GB total storage.

Great video. I think the S5 is absolutely hideous, never been a fan of samsungs phones. I'm an apple guy, if I had to choose an android it for sure wouldn't be the S5. Th3Fizzle First when I received the notification about your comment, I really felt that you were a fanboy of GS5 that wanted to be the guy that "sets the truth" or to back the GS5, so if you are neither, keep reading. Second, a DSLR (or any camera)-like Canon or Nikon that is a year or two old is superior to a 16 mpx shooter. I really tend to think you just went nuts into the video and scanned his exact words just to say no, he haven't said that (which I don't know again why you took the time to). You may have forgot the 41mpx sensor of the 1020, 41! not 16. But I don't think you care, you just cared about saying what he said. So either way, if you want to defend this product, or you just hate Lumia/Windows Phone, when you see comments like that you should think further than what is said. Obviously you didn't understand what he meant, he means that the iPhone 5s is very similar compared to the iphone 5 the only additions to the 5s where the fingerprint scanner and the gold coloring and a few minor hardware changes where as the gs5 gains more major hardware and software updates compared to samsungs previous phonethat make it more worth it to upgrade.

If you're talking about the finger print scanner, then how is it copying? Samsung didn't just come up with the idea a week ago. The S5 has been around ever since the S4 launch. Once you launch one phone, you start on the next one. The fingerprint scanner has always been an idea for the S5 even before Apple announced it for the 5s.

I have an S4 and im happily sticking with it. Even i love how the new touchwiz looks and it has a better camera with Kitkat id rather not upgrade. I love the features but i think they couldve made the phone more aesthetically pleasing. That back cover couldve been a solid soft touch material with a coating on it to keep it clean and the phone would looked more premium and the side couldve been like a flat black or metal to make the phone look like its worth. All in all it a good phone but not worth the upgrade for me.

What you should know about what Samsung copied from Apple this year: 1- Finger print scanner :) 2- Golden version...OMG!!! very ugly (S5 the blue is the best color among all it's versions) 3- Both iPhone 5s and Galaxy S5 are small leap over their previous predecessors.
