Did the same, but with a Dig-Uno, WLED and Home Assistant. Nice to be able to create my own automations around the printer. I also used a new 6 pin ams cable cut in half to power the Dig-Uno.

I got the extended one and it works flawlessly. Just such a nice add on.

Ive had one of these for a while now. Found it works well about half the time, works so so about 25 percent of the time, doesnt work at all and had to be reprogrammed about 25 percent of the time.

Have it since months and globally happy with it. It works without problem except that after weeks it started to enable blue light all the time... the developer said me to just unplug the blue channel. I also selected to not turn green or red at the end of the print but it does it anyway. Apart from that, it's great.

Yes, could you please have a tutorial to build this unit into my X1C I would like complete tutorial to install this unit for the extended. I am just getting into 3-D printing and I need to have a white. I’m older and I really need the light so I can see.

Great video Mark, keep them coming. Wish that you had a K1 Max though.

I have a K1 Max! Actually looking at creating this same setup but with a zigbee lighting controller 😁

@@MarkWattTechCool! I'll be hanging around and trying a few things on my own with Home Assistant and the K1 Max lighting.

What is the benefit of this over an off the shelf zigbee or WiFi led controller hooked up to home assistant for automation?

Is it possible to explain more in detail how to add this BBLED as a device in ESPHome in Home Assistant? I don't see it auto-detected.

Hello, great video as always! I finally received my BL led controller and I'm not really satisfied with the result with the current firmware, so I wanted to install Wled there but I'm blocking it...what is the configuration of Wled to use to run rgbcct leds? Which gpio pin to indicate? I don't currently have any reaction from the led strip 😒

Can you make it control ws2812 addressable LEDs?

why could we not use wled and a standard esp?

could you use addressable leds to follow the x and y axis of the print head
@leemarsh525811 ай бұрын
It doesn't look like the integration reports the x/y axis so unlikely. It does report things like % completed and layer so could maybe automate to change colour based on percentage complete etc.

Did you have any issues linking your X1C to Home assistant? the Greghsp work through only gets so far for me and then I can't get it added due to an error at adding the printer credentials
@MarkWattTech5 ай бұрын
Heya. What's the error you are getting? Do you have 2FA enabled? If so it won't work due to a current limitation on the Bambu Cloud
@edgley5 ай бұрын
@@MarkWattTechhaven’t got 2FA I keep getting something along the lines of “invalid credentials” when I get to the stage of inputting my IP and password. Initially it was getting stuck on the input of my Bambu log in but that seems to have rectified itself

The idea is good, PCB layout not so good. Giant ground loops, no bias resistors, etc. :/

why not to use normal led and automation?

I got this installation wasn’t difficult but when I hook up my LEDs they just flash
@jamesbutler415729 күн бұрын
Same here. Actually got it to work once but only temporarily. The lights were white and steady during an overnight print. In the morning they were red but the printer was still printing with no error. Reset the controller and has not worked since. I had responses when I asked for help but never a solution and the responses have stopped. I'm done..
