ichi tensho The smaller the place, the better the food. You are sure to be sick in a big "modern" restaurant tho... As long as it's made fresh, and is still hot, you won't get sick from the food.

valkyr1985swe your probably right but you cant tell if they wash their hands before doing the meal and or use local water as its that the most dangerous its the running water used to make the meal and i dought that they boil the water before using it , anyways i got sick in a other country because of the running water that they use to make meals big food place or not

Hey Mark Wiens , just a thought, does this restaurant have an English menu as well as Thai? I ask because whenever I watch your vids I always think, 'yeah that looks lovely, i'd like to eat there' but we are a little nervous of walking into an all Thai restaurant because our Thai language skills are poor and we can't read any Thai at all :-S I read through your blog post too but you didn't mention in there either. It would be nice to know that info as well in future :-) Keep up the good work, your channel is doing amazingly well. Proud of you for chasing your dreams

Hey Eight Miles from Home thanks for the feedback and recommendation, that's a great idea. Sometimes I just completely forget to ask if they have an English menu. This restaurant I believe did not have an English menu, but I will start asking at all places I visit, and if I don't include the info in the video, I'll include it in the blog post. As always Mark, great video. You always make me smile when you eat. A question, what is your upper tolerance for chile peppers as far as heat goes? Could you give a comparison to say a Jalapeno, Chile de Arbol, or Habanero? The way you pile on the sauces, without even tasting them first, makes it hard to imagine the heat level. Keep up the good work Mark. You're style of delivery is unique, sincere and interesting. A few years ago I actually dined at that Ubon restaurant and it was a great experience. As a chef myself, over the past thirty years or so I've traveled fervently to many places just to try out the real deal food in remote and established parts of the world. Bangkok is an insane place on many levels but the food is second to nothing on this planet when you know where to dine without 'breaking your pocket'. I'll continue to introduce people who are passionate about food to your channel because you're a true inspiration. Last week I booked my flight to Thailand to visit my daughter in Khon Kaen. I'll also be spending a bit of time in Bangkok where I'll check out some of the places you've recommended. Peace
