I love how Mark focuses on the best food, and isn’t into vested interests or being paid off by restaurants to promote them. It’s interesting that some of the best food is actually from some of the cheapest most down to earth restaurants.

Many years ago my husband and I were in Bangkok and we ate at a restaurant that when you went in they gave you a cart and you picked out your vegetables and your seafood. The fish was still alive flopping on the refrigerated counter. You checked out giving them your cart. We passed through a line of chefs cooking on woks flaming up while they cooked the food. We were led to an outside beautiful area with white tablecloth covered tables. When your food was cooked it arrived hot and very tasty, I had jumbo prawns and a wonderful fruit I had never seen to this day. I was wondering if that restaurant still existed. It was a wonderful experience Thank you Mark and your beautiful wife for providing the travel and food experience we could only dream of. .

+Seggi Armandi Yes indeed. Mark commented in the past that Ying often eats other dishes first prior to her taking over the camera and/or starts the shared dishes after the beautiful photos are taken. You can actually see this in the crab dish; notice that a corner is already gone when Mark takes his first bite. And earlier in this series, Mark returns to the table and films Ying eating before he gets settled in. Not sure why someone would think Ying doesn't eat. Oh well.

Hi Mark! I just wanted to say I watch your videos EVERYDAY, lol! I am very happy to hear that you came across my people in Bangkok, Thailand. As many people aren't aware of, the HMONG community don't have a country to call home thus we are scattered everywhere in the world. I would love to see a video of you trying authentic HMONG food. HMONG food is influenced by Thai, Laos and I'm sure from other countries as well. I have yet to find a real authentic HMONG food to really call it HMONG food bc behind it all it has some kind of influence from other countries. I grew up eating HMONG food influenced by Thai and Laos bc my parents are from there. When I watch your food videos from Thailand, I feel like I'm at home eating very similar foods. Even though HMONG people don't have a country to call home, we still manage to keep our culture strong and going but as a newer generation, our culture is fading in a lot of ways. As you can already tell I too know very little about my culture as well. Not a lot of people know about HMONG people. Please do a video in depth about what my people in Thailand or Laos eat. Thanks!
