Thank you for featuring Malay cuisine; a rarity really as most authentic Malay food are usually cooked at home. Singapore Malay food has nuances not only from Indonesian (especially padang and javanese) but also Malaysian, Filipino, Indian, Thai and Chinese cuisines due to the migration of people around the region. It is not unique but rather an almagamation or a marrying of ingredients and cultures. I love this place and so does my old parents, so thank you for featuring it!

@pakngah37152 жыл бұрын
@@Ilham_AT Sayang kedai Nasi Campur Melayu jarang restoran macam tu.

Indo/Malay Food is the most underrated food in the world! I don´t understand why there are not more restaurants in the world outside of SEA, that cooks and serves this delicious food!

Yeah don't think the "strong" flavours is an issue. These days people's palate are much more adventurous. It's more to do with the ingredients required are not easy to find elsewhere to make the different dishes to it's true authentic flavour OR it becomes too expensive.

It’s because cooking Malay and Indonesian food is intensive work! So many ingredients does into all the chilli and curry pastes etc! Most people will be too tired haha

Even as a Chinese Singaporean, I love our Malay food! You guys really gotta try, not just this restaurant, but day-to-day fares like Mee Rebus, Mee Siam etc… pretty sure you guys will love it. Even Chinese fares prepared in compliance to halal. Even if you have Muslim friends they can get to enjoy too! Enjoy your stay 😊

Wow Mark. You guys did your thing! That food looks amazing. I was not really familiar with Malay food or the dishes of Singapore. This is what I love about your channel, not only is it fun to watch, but you try to educate and get people familiar and interested in trying different cuisines. Singapore has been on my bucket list for a while, now I will know what to order. Awesome video.

Lol. I order from a Chinese spot once a week and always get around $90.00 worth of food because I can't decide what I want. The owner is appreciative of me so he always drives the order to me personally. Last week he said he hopes my family enjoys the food and I told him I live alone, it's all for me. He almost passed out he could not believe it. 😆
