My favorite KB chest movement. I do them using DBs and KBs. I find KBs to be more difficult since it requires some additional stabilization not as necessary to a DB. That's why I prefer the KB version. TY Mark for the demo - as usual well done! :)

Great videos. Have learnt a lot from them. From what I gather, kettlebell training has the benefits of increased core firing and shoulder stability, and is perhaps superior for building endurance and work capacity along with strength. Are there any other benefits exclusive to kettlebells, say over barbell training? Thank you for your great work!

It's good to mix them. I love swings with bells but hate OHP, I prefer dumbbells for that. No one thing is perfect for everything, just experiment to see what works for you.

Nice. So I can add this as a complex movement during TGU. I'd love to see you do a 5-10 minute video of you doing a combination of movements of say TGU, goblet squat, swing and clean and press. Not a whole workout but a primer would be great. Or will that be in the app? 🙏🏼

"Half of my clients are actresses and models" ... Hmm, dream job alert ! :D Seriously, I really love your content and your no-nonsense approach to training. Also your sense of humor =) I am a young martial arts/calisthenics coach, and I find myself wondering if you have some sort of "mentorship" program, or if it's possible to come and study with you. Maybe not right now though... ^^ In any case, thank you so much, and take care !

How do you incoporate this in the tetris of training if you also want to do the TGU? Would it then be heavy GU and light press for one week and then the next week switch it around? Would it then take longer to increase weight?

Mark please comment on programming....I could assume standard principles apply...more volume/hypertrophy, more load/neuromuscular strength....but what would you suggest for GPP blend of these over 8-12 weeks, what 2 or 3 other ex’s fit in well for a 20 min whole body routine....next stop KB swings, snatches, pull ups...? In circuit or one after the next for sets of 5....never quite sure what to do...... PS: What’s your opinion of Pavel’s Grease the Groove method, doing a set of these once every hour all day long, vs a concentrated dose?

Thanks Mark another excellent video .Interesting question for you. Just as lockdown was about to happen in the UK Mid March, I ordered a bench and some dumbbells. While I was researching what to do with them I discovered Pavel Tsatsouline, ordered some Kettlebells (10Kg,Kg16, 20Kg, 24 Kg), then came across your channel and Bodytribe channel, (your channel is better by the way) and supplemented these with a 4Kg BodyRip Clubbell from amazon UK. When I progressed from two hand to one hand inner outer circles (300in a session) and shield casts (150 in a session) I supplemented that with a Xenios Tacfit 10Kg and started two handed inner/outer circles with that but only low volume (60 in a session). During all of this period I still haven’t received the bench and dumbbells I ordered due to some really bad couriers in the UK who are taking advantage of the current situation and myself and many other customers have found things go ‘missing’ at the courier and we have to wait for more stock and see if the stuff eventually arrives. I have been offered refund but as currently I could resell the stuff for more than I paid for anyway, I decided to keep the order and keep my options open. So…..my question is….when this stuff arrives should I keep them so that I have more options or should I just sell on (except the rubber mat which I need). Dumbbell people swear that they are best and Kettlebell people swear they are best etc, from what I have learnt over last three months, I am inclined to think that if the option was Kettlebell/Clubbell OR Dumbbell I would go for Kettlebell/Clubbell BUT I now have the option of both is it worthwhile keeping the bench and dumbbells to add variety and options? I am not particularly desperate for the money and if nothing else more equipment marks out my territory better from the wife BUT how would you use dumbbells as an extra option in a mainly kettlebell/clubbell program?
@stormrider1119
@stormrider1119 4 жыл бұрын
I had a similar situation, had the option to choose between KBs or KBs and Dumbells and bench etc. I settled for only KBs simply because they are so versatile but don't take up so much space indoors, hence it's the option for me. Mark's videos definitely help as he has shown me tons of new KB modalities. Obviously if you keep the dumbells as well you'll have more 'options' but I'd imagine Mark could recreate those options somehow with KBs.

try keeping elbows closer to ribs instead of flared out. it will let you engage pecs and lats, plus save your shoulders

Also try pinching your shoulder blades together and keep them down like you're trying to put them in your back pockets. But not so much it causes rib cage rise.

You can't beat bench I'm sorry. Kettlebells are amazing but for chest development they are simply useless!
@EnduranceRoom
@EnduranceRoom 4 жыл бұрын
Alex Yearsfunc bench is great, but you can get tremendous results with kettlebells in nearly all aspects of physical development, including chest. When considering the world at the moment, a bench may not be readily available, whereas a kettlebell is a gym with a handle on it. Having the knowledge to use it, in place of gym equipment that we may not have access to, is worthwhile and kind of the point of Mark making these videos lately, to give people some ideas and options to keep strong.
