I totally feel your pain with the chin, neck and mustache hair!!! I had polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) for all of my life, until I had to have a full hysterectomy after the birth of my second child... And even getting pregnant was a miracle in itself. Women who had/have PCOS almost always struggle with facial hair.... It's nothing to be ashamed of it has to do with the hormones in our system. Growing old is NOT for sissies! And I love that drop of oil in a foundation that is a little too matte... As a dry skin older woman, I've been using that trick for years. ❤ to you!!!

Then I put on my foundation and it hides that yucky zit then you put on powder and other stuff. I seen this I don’t remember but I tried it works. They say a little bit goes a long way.

I needed this last week when I was worrying over whether I should bleach my brows! I have super course and black brow hair and I bleached them slightly and OMG I wish I’d done it years ago. They suit my face so much better and are less unruly now. I had tried micro blading and shading in the past when I should have just lightened them. Wild!

I have extremely straight lashes and this is how I combat them. I curl my lashes, go with a waterproof mascara, then regular mascara, THEN after they’ve mostly dried, I give them a gentle pump with my lash curler again to set the curl. It’s the best thing I’ve found for keeping them from going straight back down.
@lindakoberna34655 күн бұрын
I take a brush with micellar water and blink my lashes on the brush to get any skincare or makeup off. Let my lashes completely dry. Then I take a eye shadow brush and lightly dust them with transculent powder. I curl (waterproof is the ticket, but I also combine both) add my mascara and when the are barely tacky I take powder again on my lash curler and curl them again.

Love your sharing these beauty hacks. I always look to you for these tips and tricks. I was surprised to learn that you bleach your eyebrows. I thought I was the only one (and I use Sally Hansen too!) While everyone else is darkening their eyebrows I am busy lightening mine. I first learned this "trick" back in the seventies from a book by the great makeup artist; Way Bandy (LONG before your time). He was brilliant and died far too young. The lighter brows really make your eyes pop and I've been bleaching for eons. Thanks for sharing, Marlena. Love you and your channel.

I have extremely oily skin AND I live in Texas, and when I blot my face throughout the day, by lunch time my foundation can be getting a bit…. Unfortunate. So on my lunch break, I blot my face as I normally would, but then I take a hydrating setting spray on the parts of my foundation that would normally be cracking from talking/expressions and dab it back to life with my sponge I used to apply my foundation that morning. I then go in and powder to set it all back down. Very few foundations don’t cooperate well, most revive really well like this.

Thank you Marlena... Always love little beauty tricks. I have always been a peach fuzzied face girly since a baby, but i am 43 and I feel like the fuzz is worse? I'm not sure, it could be that I'm just paying more detailed attention to my changes. My upper lip for sure the fuzz is getting crazy, and more thank likely the rest of my face, just thin tiny almost clear little hairs, but derma planing scares me, and definitely regular razors scare me. You know what they say, "it'll come back thicker". Cam anybody confirm or deny that? Do any of you other ladies use razors instead of derma planing?
