It's tricky, it varies on the bird and their natural tendencies and environment. Brando likes to nest a lot as well! Maybe others can respond below more in depth!

@@MARLENEMCCOHEN thanks for the reply. I have a similar pair to your birbs. The moustache parrot looks just like Brando and is female. She shares a cage with a male ringneck (a yellow peril). He is very caring to the moustache parrot and the moustache parrot hen pecks him just like your Brando does. When I watch videos of Brando and the ringneck, its just like watching my two horrors. I suspect the nesting behaviour will last about a month and she will calm down again.
