A large portion of the entire COD community is toxic but especially the quick scoper variety. In Black Ops 2 people gave David Vondehaar (can't spell his name) death threats when they tried to nerf the snipers. I can remember countless lobbies where quick scopers would try to get a montage worthy last kill and it ruined the pace of the game

Nath Godfrey I remember quickscopers ruining search and destroy in mw2. Mods ensured one of their friends ended up on my team, the round starts, he gives our positions away, the enemies super jump and kill us all except him, then he'd run to their spawn and just sit there. They'd all take turns trying to trickshot him, I stayed for a match in and they didn't hit a single shot in 20 minutes. I hopped on the mic to make fun of them for how stupid this all was, they deranked me and kicked me like the virgins they were. Considering how death threats were sent to Vahn over minor sniper tweaks, JD2020 was absolutely right about these people.

As a quick scoper for my entire career in CoD anytime I brought out the reg guns it would just make the game to easy. I use snipers to handicap myself deliberately lol if you find yourself getting quickscoped over and over again, switch up the positioning for your next push. Chances are the quickscoper has your number and is already predicting where you and your teammates are going to push. Although on these stupid new-age three lane maps(old ones were better) you don’t always have that option🤷🏾‍♂️.

There is nothing more frustrating than shooting 3-4 bullets into a guy at close range and for him to just kill you instantly. But it's far less effective without aim assist, aim assist gives you just that, assistance, meaning you don't have to be perfectly accurate. That's the problem with quickscoping in games, and why games like Halo, people rarely no scope despite the gun being 100% accurate.

Yeah but in battlefield even the close quarters maps had ranges where sniping was viable. COD maps keep getting smaller and smaller while battlefield tries bigger and bigger. That and aggresive recon vids with an 8x scope and laser sight can show that quick scoping is still possible in bf3 and 4 and infantry rifles are used by those same recons in bf1 so quick scoping can't really be done when you don't have a scope. Hell quickscoping was super fun in bc2 because snipers were laser beams and can still fuck up a one shot if they were slightly out of range.

Amaro it's different with a scope though, it's additional aim assistance because the picture is enhanced in size, giving more leeway (spelling??) to where your reticle has to be. I agree that if you're a good quickscoper, you can probably play with any gun. But the problem is, you're giving a weapon that has superior long range advantage, a powerful closerange advantage as well which has balancing issues. The solution should be to be using a sidearm up close, not the actual rifle. And to use good positioning to not have to be put in that position. To each their own, I hardly play cod just some cod4, mostly play bf over the last few years

Nah it was frustrating as hell when you could literally see your crosshair for a split second directly on an opponent, but the shot misses because you weren't scoped in long enough for the game to decide to make the gun accurate. COD4 quickscoping was the perfect balance in my opinion, especially on PC.

I’m personally in JD’s camp on this. I hate quick scopers with a fiery passion. If you are going to use a sniper rifle use it right. I loved sniping on black ops. But then they started making maps that didn’t really lean to my style of play with snipers. Then exo boosting and thrust jumping became a thing so now my play style was completely stomped into the ground. Ever since though they have brought so sniping spots back into the maps. Almost all of them have multiple ways to get up into them. So if you aren’t running two trip mines your up a creek without a paddle. Hopefully in the future we or at least I can see the return of my preferred play style of sneaking around with a sniper rifle and a silenced pistol finding my camping spot and setting up for some fun.

My only issue with bo1's approach on removing quick scoping was that you could no longer run semi auto rifles like the Dragunov as a semi auto battle rifle with acog/ iron sights (preferably) like in other CODs like MW3. There was no distinguishment between sweaty quick scoopers and people using it like the mk14 from MW3.

Quickscoping needs to be canned. I can't stand playing any CoD and losing a match be because my entire team is Quickscoping. The BO1 method needs to return and be improved on. BO2 was really easy for quickscoping. I sucked at it in my first attempt and in 1 week, I was amazing at it. It really requires no skill. In WW2 it's a fucking joke. Losing every single gunfight in close range to a sniper rifle. I really hope that sniping can be done properly to avoid this horrible play style. Don't use hitscan on Snipers, don't use a scope overlay to display the ADS, and don't allow shots to be accurate the second you ADS. I hate quickscoping so damn much. Of course, nothing will change. I've given up on CoD, so even if that change comes, I'll never get to enjoy it.

Not going to lie, I've only become good at quick scoping in Modern Warfare, only because of the Gunsmith and reducing ADS. It actually took me a while to get used to the mechanics. Moral of the story: Quick scoping is a skill that is honed through a crazy amount of practise. Much love and respect to all the montages I've seen and the advice I've received. Still, the only gun I've got to gold is the Kar-98, and it is a beast! Love the content as always Marley! Keep it up mate and make sure to out-manurer the quarantine XD

I would challenge that. Its not always like wide open spaces with cross map sightlines, true. But theres no current COD that doesnt have defined sightlines that a sniper is almost unmatched in their usage. It would still be nice to see a return to the more versatile maps however. I hated quick scoping when I was on console just because it abused the auto aim system. I now have respect for quickscopers, but only the ones that play with keyboard and mouse on PC because the aim assist is taken away so actually requires them to aim. Still have no respect for console quick scopers

Ytho Plz stop But the brecci was only good in close quarters because it is a shotgun and if I remember correctly it was the pump action one so it made it very difficult to clear rooms without getting in there face and outplaying them. A sniper can literally be used at any range because of the exploit meaning there is no range in which I can outgun a sniper.

Also quickscoping is a skill. Most of the time when using Full/Semi-auto weapons, you just spray and move your sights where the enemy goes. With Quick Scoping, you have to predict the enemies movement, make sure your aim is right on and know how to recover from a miss.
