The jammer on black ops 1 was great! Firing Range, Summit and Nuketown it pretty much covered half the map. And Array, chuck it in the middle of the building and it stopped all the claymores. MW3's jammer had a much smaller radius, but BO1 was pretty big!

Blast Shield only reduced Explosive damage by like 5% or 10% in MW2. The game that also has the largest LETHAL radius for the Grenade Launcher attachment. So it was basically even more meaningless than we thought. Its not that difficult to kill someone with Blast Shield equipped on full health with a grenade launcher (no Danger Close) because of how lethal the GL was in that game.

Riot shield and knife combo was always a good laugh. Walk slowly (Crouched) right up to someone, the throw the knife quick, and you did it right, you were close enough that you couldn't miss. Not all that viable, but fun nevertheless.

As you stated you hate having your mini map messed with, the jammer was great for dropping it into heavy traffic areas while you continued to run around. It let you shoot with no worries of showing up within in that area. And typically it attracted people so when they destroyed you knew they were near it (suppose if you camp on the jammer it’s useless)

I honestly love the Black Hat. It's super useful in many ways. My "engineer" class had everything to support my squad and take care of traps and scorestreaks. A good shotgun, a rocket launcher, EMPs or Black Hat. It was so satisfying to see all the scorestreaks that the enemy players have worked so hard to get, getting destroyed as soon as they call them. Things like UAV, Stealth chopper, VTOL, and many of the drones and turrets would be just gone in seconds.

You don't kmow true suffering until you try to get all the calling cards for equipment in AW. Stun grenades - you get a hitmarker, only to be lured into a false sense of security and realise that the effect only lasts about half a second...unless you hit yourself with it, in which case it becomes a Black Ops 1 Flashbang and you can't see for 5 seconds, woefully inconsistent And the Explosive Drone...ughhhhhhh, you made me remember the torture that challenge was, a trigger range of about half a millimeter, and a similar explosive range, even with danger close

2:14 the camera spike was definitely not useless if you knew how to use it. Where most people put a claymore, I would put a camera spike. It would let me know where the enemy was coming from and it wouldn't explode and get destroyed (most players ignored it) so I had access to it as long as I was alive. When I played snd I would place it near the bomb or in the middle of the map so I could see which direction the enemy was going. It was extremely helpful specially when I was the last one alive.

Black Hat was my go-to in black ops 2, good for boosting your points streak, good going around corners where there's likely to be an explosive, and a good way to destroy sentries/guardians without wasting a load of ammo and good for taking down UAVs without having to waste your secondary with a launcher. saved my skin a number of times!

The Jammer was pretty underrated for an aggressive anti camper set up. If you know there’s people camping at a building with a claymore or motion sensor you can just place the jammer anywhere In the vercinity and a lot of times surprise the enemy and killed them off.

Signal flares in WW2 are actually really good. Throw one around a corner, if you get a hitmarker, enemy inbound. Ising this on Pointe Du Hoc throw it at the stairs to the bunker, easily detect enemies rushing you.

TheAlmightyHux only once, and if they arent there at that moment you get nothing. The flare can be thrown to auto watch a path, for a full 5 seconds, if you get a hitmarker, someone is rushing there. And most people run through flares without a second thought.

I love the throwing knife bc i think hitting enemies with it is pretty easy and it just feels cool. It is very good in Warzone. The most recent example i have was today when i was in a gun fight and ran out of ammo. The enemy was sitting at a door and i was behind a small obstacle, the enemy was getting kinda impatient and got ready to push (wich would have been my end) So i quickly got out of cover, threw my knife at him and he was instantly knocked. I finished him off and survived the encounter.

Back when BOII was really popular and active my go-to loadout to shut down scorestreaks and equipment heavy users was an MP7, a Stinger, Engineer, double blackhats, and a semtex. Always fun to hack sentry guns and even the occasional AGR.

The Scrambler in MW3 was pretty sweet in the right place. It basically gave everyone under it the Blind Eye perk against Pointstreaks. So if a chopper gunner appeared, you could at least cover your team, rather then just spawning and dying as your team refused to change to a anti-pointstreak class......

Personally I disagree with the throwing knife on mw2 because I’m a knifer + the camera spike because as a bankshotter, the camera spike helps re-direct tubes to go towards the bomb sites in s&d for really cool killcams. However to the average player, they are useless and can see why the were added ;)

Actually in black ops 1, with the camera spike, you can toggle looking at the camera view and your mini map. You just hit a button on the dpad. Little tip for you, so you can see both whenever you wanna switch

Some of these were garbage enough but the tac insert was pretty good in most game modes and in search you could throw it down on where you planted the bomb and force your opponent to destroy it to defuse the bomb. The camera spike as well wasn’t super highly used but being able to just have an extra viewpoint was extremely interesting and I think if it was easier to hide it, it could have been so much more useful.

Camera Spike was good for domination and Search and Destroy. Use it at one bomb location so you know to go the other. For domination I used it for Bravo so we knew Bravo was safe until the camera was destroyed.

I love the black hat -- but I mainly used it to destroy enemy UAVs. Hacking enemy equipment was nice as well. Not so much for killing an enemy with it, but so that you don't get killed by their equipment while you are flanking campers.

It even had this novelty of blocking the guns' vision in Berlin Wall (BO1). Even if not a top-tier tactical grenade, definitely had its uses, whether in battle or for trivial causes like this. If sniper rifles' hit registration in BO was any better, I can certainly see this 'nade used to even better effect.

throwing knife - only good if you have great accuacy. tactical insertion - useful if you want a cheap way to get the nuke. sucks if you can't kill your enemy and respawn and died again and repeat. blast shield - make claymore uses for snipers. camera spike - novelty for campers. jammer - kind of shown where you are. decoy - only works if you trick them. black hat - i found it useless. canister bomb - i thought is going have a power explosion but it useless. variable grenade - like the black hat.

I loved the black hat, in snd hardcore, I would always throw a care package at the center of the map, since doing it at spawn makes the enemy rush to kill me and succeed alot. So I kept throwing it at center of map and using black hat to get it, and would often have the enemy focus on it and would try to get it, only to explode. There were many good uses for black hat for me that saved me countless times hacking enemy equipment

All I use on Black Ops is the radar jammer. I lay it in busy intersection and keep moving. It helps my teammates out who are in firefights while I flank and pick off campers 🤷‍♂️

The throwing knife had a lot more practical uses than you think. First off it wouldnt let the enemy know where you were on the map because its silent, it's a instant kill always and "if you had good aim" it made good use in many situations if you wanted to remain undetected

Signal Flare was useless. Like many other players I’m sure, It was my last challenge for completing the tactical accomplishment on WW2. For anyone wondering how to go about completing it, play Shipment and Domination. “Enemy taking B” Signal flare into the area, and after a few hit markers, follow it with a Sticky Grenade 👍🏼

I use throwing knife in rushing classes with SMG and shotgun. I find that it sometimes gives me a chance against enemies I can't quite reach with a shotgun, and as for why I use it over grenades: It's silent, it's much quicker to use and most importantly, you can take it back after throwing. A very important part of a class that doesn't run scavenger, but does run shotguns which typically last for a longer time than normal weapons. And blast shield guarantees you to survive grenades without danger close, which means that you get the chance to kill them as they reload the second grenade. Also it completely blocks out stuns and with riot shield, allows you to survive a semtex that is stuck to your shield. the downsides can be lessened with sometimes taking it off to check the minimap.

Jammer in BO SHUT down claymores, and RcXD, Decoys makes people nervous when rushing during spyplanes, and XR71's... chess, not checkers.. u place a jammer far enough just to touch the tip of a claymore, u can run past it, AND you can jam an entire building... just hide it.
