Thanks Tex Mex. It seems I always have issues like this when I lighten the trigger pull. If the stock spring is about 5 pounds I'd just put that back in. It seems the other springs in the Marlin kit help to smooth things out. Looking forward to part 3 now, lol.

Thanks my friend! Yes, I believe the stock spring will be going back in. Not sure I have any other choice at this time. Unless I want to do some major changes like removing the rebounding hammer. However that can cause other issues with safety so I'm avoiding that rout.

I think you should put the original spring back, cci doesnt give this many missfires. Thank you for your great videos 😊

Wolf Springs have been around forever, I've always had really good luck with them. I honestly never put in lightweight springs in anything but AR15s (yellow springs), i've always had bad luck with lightweight springs (in everything but AR's). Honestly, I think 3.1lbs is still too light for my taste. You can also check the tip of the firing pin for wear.

Thanks my friend. I did look at the tip of the firing pin and it seems fine, but I am not an expert. To be safe I attempted to buy a replacement pin just to see if it would work better. However, finding a firing pin for the rebounding hammer models is impossible. Spent lots of time going through dozens of websites and no one has them in stock. Even asked around in different forums to no avail.

I'd love to have the Mounty/carbine version of the Marlin 39. I would err on the side of reliable primer strikes.

I think you are correct. I wish I could find a spare firing pin out there. Sadly the ones for the rebounding hammer models are nowhere in stock. The Mounty ones are beautiful. I don't think many were produced since they bring a premium price if you can find one for sale. Thanks for watching!

I bypassed the rebounding hammer to erase the misfires . But if you do that make sure you use the manual cross bolt safety . As the half cock notch is not designed to work without the rebound .

Thanks for the info! I read the same thing over at Rimefirecentral. Haven't decided if I am going to do that just yet. I was able to get a hold of a new firing pin and I am going to try that first.

It’s an expensive rifle to make , I’m guessing it would have to sell for well over $1000. And how many is Ruger going to sell when a customer can buy a Henry for about half that price

@@charlesculnane7520 Henry's assortment has been based on "something for everybody"...that's where Marlin, Winchester, and Browning have fallen between the cracks...
