Nate, you have no idea how much it brightened my day to see you had uploaded a new video. Been dealing with a lot this week. Adjusting to 11 hour shifts starting at 3am, moving into an apartment in a new town, and financial strain on top of it all. Haven't really had a moment to stop and appreciate anything for days, but I just got to watch my favorite KZbinr while packing boxes and things were okay for a while. Thanks for keeping up with what you do. I'm gonna take the vid for one more spin.

Watching you twist the wire on that tiny lip in the vice. Wonderful cinematography. really let me feel the tension and anxiety over whether that would break or not. I see the eye for cinematography with that sweet small mouth slow motion release. Maybe a small sound track will bump up that experience. awesome work.

I was just wondering myself why he didn't have a 3D printer already. Although I do like watching them carve everything by hand as well. There's a bit of a learning curve when it comes to zbrush sculpting
@-dystopic- Жыл бұрын
3d printed lures is a great idea!
@GrumpyGillsFishing Жыл бұрын
I think a 3D printer would be useful for printing unique shaped bills/tails. But to print the whole bait, seems more like production. What he does now is art.

Outstanding work, Nate! I didn't make one, but I found a Heddon "Tiny Runt" while I was walking the dog today, from what I can tell it's a micro crank from the 60s-70s! I'm not sure when it went out of production, but the metal bill's in great shape, and it has that super cool old-school shoe tree/duck bill shape to the head! Can't wait to clean it up 🎣

My favourite lure is a tiny neutral buoyancy diving lure by Strike King, it’s called the bitsy minnow, I prefer the tiger fire version. It’s great because when bass aren’t biting I can entice smaller fish like perch, sunfish and rock bass and for some reason catching them on a lure is so much more fun then using a bobber setup

23:20 It's not just a theory, all vertebrates release a hormone called cortisol when highly stressed and whether actively or passively most animals have a reaction to detecting it. Research shows that elevated levels of cortisol in the environment make other fish more likely to flee and if a fish itself has elevated cortisol levels in its blood due to a stressful event it is far less likely to be bold enough to leave cover to feed.
