You might be able to speed things up if you turn some of them on a lathe. I would think it should speed up the process quite a bit. For me it would be easy to turn them instead of carving with a chisel. Just a thought.

@antonio999us7 жыл бұрын
Hello Marling, greetings from Peru... once again, I was watching your video and I have some questions for you. When you applied the sand seal, how many coats do you usually apply? do you sand the plug between each coat? How much time do you let them dry? Same questions when you apply polyurethane. Are sand seal and polyurethane water based? How far can you cast one of those plugs? Thank you in advance for your help.

@AUSSIE1PRIDE6 жыл бұрын
He answered the question its about 5 comments down the page... he posted the answer 2 months before antonio999us asked, anyway the guy has pretty much showed you his entire process im sure you can put your thinking cap on, stop being lazy and experiment for yourself and work out how many coats the lure needs by trial and error. Jeez some people these days want everything served to them on a silver platter and not have to lift a single finger...

Do you thin the createx paint? My droplet size is fairly large. Trying to figure out if it's my air brush or if I should thin the paint some. I want a finer fade between colors on my spoons.
@marlingbaits7 жыл бұрын
Gus Tanner I Only thin Createx when Doing detail work that needs low PSI, and when I do I use the High Performance Reducer. Have an Iwata Eclipse HP-CS airbrush, keep it really clean, and raise the PSI when I'm not getting good atomization.

Is there anything I can do to repair the lip on a jerkbait that cracked and split in half? The other half is at the bottom of the lake or I'd glue them back together. It's a $8 Rapala I only got to use a couple times.
@mprice76767 жыл бұрын
Just curious... What's the point of the lead weight work if the lure floats like it would if it were just wood? The weight of the hooks would make it sit the same in the water... Right? Thanks, and great work!
@marlingbaits7 жыл бұрын
Mark Price the lead adds more stability, so if you're ripping the bait trough the water it won't turn up and blow out. That's ideal for Jerkbaits.
