If you turn those forked bits of wood 90 degrees and put the axe in line with the 2 stumps they split so much easier than what you're doing.

2024 is the year of the wood dragon according to the Chinese calendar. A wooden dragonfish seems to be in order if you're up for it. Id understand if it was considered an invasive species in Iowa and you may not want to introduce one.....pity.... Great video and build as usual sir ! Blessings!

Yeah, colorado pulled the same trick on me yesterday, but being the sicko that I am, I decided to float tube in 43° water for 4 hours, no bass. But at least I got to tune some baits I made during the winter.

U can catch more fish if put red dye on the trebles and it should act like ur bait is injured so I'm recommend u doing that

Those logs will take way longer than 2 years to be dry. Rule of thumb is a year per inch of thickness.

I would suggest a loop knot. Especially on small lures. It will allow the lure to have more action. That lure is beautiful. Such amazing detail.
