This is an excellent video. Everything is perfectly explained and while it does repeat things you already know if you've been crocheting for at least a few weeks, the commentary doesn't get annoying. Also, this has the best explanation for weaving in ends I've seen. I haven't been able to find a good way to weave the ends in!

Marly. I just finished this throw today. Only taught myself crochet in October! The supersaver “chunky” is discontinued so I researched and made it with Big Twist Hush in Taupe color. Thank you for this video! currently trying to figure out how to make a new, cozy blanket for my little sister (I’m 18 and she’s 16). I promised I’d make her one once I got good enough at crocheting but now she’s sick and I haven’t had much time to practice crocheting because of my college work. She recently got covid and has pneumonia on top of that, so I wanna try and cheer her up. I have of course been avoiding in person contact to protect myself and my partner and everything, but I want to give her something because I obviously love my sister. I practiced this with an old ball of yarn I have from my mom, and it seems fairly simple. I’ve practically mastered making coasters with double crochets too so I figured a blanket with double crochets should be nothing :D Now all I have to do is pick up some yarn in some of her favorite colors.

I love your videos. And this beginner blanket is great. I love it. I was so glad to see you explain correctly weaving in the end tails. Most tutorials don't instruct to send the needle through the yarn fibers, but rather to go through yarn openings. 6 years.... 6 years off and on that I have been trying to teach myself (through youtube of course lol) how to crotchet.
