I love how you talk to us like you’re talking to a 5 year old but without being condescending. Hahaha I’m being absolutely serious because you are one of the first....crochet tutors? crochet professor?...crochet professors I’ve come across in years that doesn’t either make me feel like an idiot, or working in such a way that I have to rewind the dang video 400 times. Or BOTH. 😶 Plus I get so excited when you congratulate me. Even if it’s for doing nothing more than exactly what I’m supposed to be doing 😂 Gold Star! ⭐️🤍 Gracias Professor!! 🧶😇

Dear Marly, I have been trying for hours and hours to start a simple crochet blanket for my sister's new baby (ok, her new kitten, but close enough) and was about to give up frustration when I came across your video. Yours is the only video I've come across that carefully explains which exact gap the double stitch is being worked into. Thanks to your video, I am now four rows into a very cute blanket! Thank you!

I have been crocheting for a while and you are great!!!! No one has ever said not to make the chain too tight until my mom had told me and you covered that. You are awesome!!!! I wish your video was the first that I had ever watched. You do the best teaching that I've ever seen. Thank you for this video! currently trying to figure out how to make a new, cozy blanket for my little sister (I’m 18 and she’s 16). I promised I’d make her one once I got good enough at crocheting but now she’s sick and I haven’t had much time to practice crocheting because of my college work. She recently got covid and has pneumonia on top of that, so I wanna try and cheer her up. I have of course been avoiding in person contact to protect myself and my partner and everything, but I want to give her something because I obviously love my sister. I practiced this with an old ball of yarn I have from my mom, and it seems fairly simple. I’ve practically mastered making coasters with double crochets too so I figured a blanket with double crochets should be nothing :D Now all I have to do is pick up some yarn in some of her favorite colors.

Each and every single time I've tried I managed to do a single stitch and then after I reached that point everything was just happening so quickly and made no sense to me and I just sat there staring at my screen with the most confused look on my face before I gently set my work down and walked away from the yarn and crotchet hook "for good" lol. Hi. You did this video over 3 years ago, but I'm just seeing it. A couple of people in one of my crochet groups were talking about how wonderful an instructor you were and how they were able to complete their first blankets (or are working on their first blankets) because of you. So of course I zipped right over to your channel (and this blanket that one lady is working on (she posted what she's done so far) and they were not lying. You are simply wonderful. I'm subscribing after just his video and I'm lookingforward to checking out your library as well as new videos that you post. (Signed your newest Subbie.) Thanks! 🙏

I love this pattern…easy to make and it “grows” quickly. I come back to it over and over for blankets. Thank you!😃
