Right on, Donald. I wear my Speedos on the beach. When I walk along the beaches here in Florida, I get compliments and occasionally get asked to pose for a picture. This is especially true when I wear my American flag speedos. Just be sure that you keep in good shape! The good thing about living in Florida is that there are plenty of beaches, year-round sunny weather; and a lot of the problems of male-female relations could be resolved if a man keeps in good shape, makes his way to the beach, ANDS WEARS A SPEEDO SWIMSUIT. 5, 7, 12, I wear light blue fitted skinny fit jeans with running shoes, that is fully white or has blue and white in it, also the clothes do have medium sized visible sized logo on it, usually the t-shirt or hoody, but not huge or massive sized logos, as for the jeans the pockets do have patterns on them, but whatever, I am comfortable in my skin and I wear what I feel comfortable with and want to wear, if people don't like it oh well. Thank you for insights; some women have complained that when I wear shorts, I wear socks that come up to my calf area, e.g. white tennis shoes and white socks; they like men to wear the baby socks that do not show, or only show a little bit. I agree with your recommendations regarding clothing for example to wear a designer logo in my mind looks cheap and in bad taste but as an ex-member of the R.A.F. I disagree with the military idea - they force this thing called discipline on you because they want to control you so you obey any stupid order they give you. The best discipline is self discipline and that can't really be taught. You get this from doing personal things such as learning to play a musical instrument or any other skill which requires individual practice and dedication.

This is refreshing, here I've been saying I have zero fashion sense and the only boxes I checked on this list is 7 & 11. I only wear that stuff like walking shoes with jeans or old clothes when I'm working around the house on my vehicles etc. Occasionally I have to run to the auto/home store and will make some misc stops along the way. I wouldn't go out on the town that way! I also hate branded stuff but will wear if the logos are small and tolerable. Now I used to wear sports shades all the time but back in those days it was easier to find them with polarized lenses vs more stylish shades. I used to joke about women and their shoes but I have amassed a decent shoe collection myself. I have shoes for various things, snow, mud, hiking, driving, casual dates, dress dates, and tux etc. I even have a cheap pair of solid black faux leather tennis shoes that I will wear out on casual dates if the weather is questionable...don't want my nice shoes getting dirty lol God, this is awful lol

I got rid of most of my wardrobe, I now basically wear straight/boot-cut jeans, a nice shirt (all my old graphic/band/merch shirts are now sleepwear or have been turned into throw pillows), a nice coat, glasses/sunglasses, nice kicks or polished brown shoes, a watch, and fitted leather gloves when it's cold. it's funny. I spent all my life not caring what other people think of me. I've actually done most of the stuff she says here, and still do. I kind of ALWAYS knew I was a dew-ch-bag, but actually hearing the words from someone else really makes it sink in. My abuse of socks and sandals have reached genocidal levels by now. The peacocking thing, whether it's shades, accessories or brands, is one of those things that's a knee-cap and an edge, both at the same time with different people. A "mature" look is its own thing when you're ready to move on to your next life stage. Things like worn or ill-fitting clothes are a no-brainer.

So, as you can tell from my pic, I'm a reenactor. But being a reenactor taught me a couple things about men's clothes. A couple-three examples: - Restraint. Classic styles that fit well are far more complimentary than flashy nonsense. To put it another way, more Daniel Craig and less Kanye West. - Minimal jewelry. Watch, ring [wedding band counts], bracelet, glasses. MAX. The metal tints should match, with the exception of your wedding ring; silver /white or gold /yellow respectively. - Logos are for losers. If you have some brand name plastered across your clothes, all you're doing is providing free advertising to a company you paid an exorbitant amount to already. And a couple of extra things... - Some stuff is 'voodoo' or 'totem' stuff, keepsakes of events in your life. Keep those. Make sure you label them when you get older so your descendants know about them. I'm an Army veteran, and I wore my dog tags for a decade after I got out. - Vests. I LOVE wearing a vest [again, I got that from being a reenactor]. But if you choose to wear a vest, get a pocket watch and chain. I've seen so many young men walking about with a nice shirt and tie with a vest and a proper pocket watch would complete the look. Otherwise, you just look like you're walking around with one boot off.

I wear sunglasses inside..because I'm super photosensitive, it's a medical thing. same with the giant black hooded trench coat, with you are allergic to sunlight and UV. You have to wear them. Baggy clothes also help, it keep the sunlight away from your skin. When you have Porphyria,some times it's not a choice.

Great video but my problem is not what I’m wearing, being comfortable around a woman, confidence. With me it’s when they find out that I can’t drive they don’t want to get to know me at all after that point. I can see if she's just talking about what to wear on a date, no flip flops, old ratty clothes, no cargo shorts with blazers, etc. But to go to the grocery store or Target, I wear flip flops, and an old t-shirt, unless I'm coming from work. Women seem to be fine with it because they understand you're not trying to impress and compensate for insecurity or some other shortcoming. It's more natural and puts them at ease because they aren't all decked out either.

If you knew a woman who would put on makeup, perfume, and get dress as if she was going out on date every time she went to the grocery store, we'd think she is insecure about her looks. Same thing for a guy. Marni must be talking about what SHE likes. I can agree with her last statement about confidence. If you have a good personality and a little confidence, it doesn't matter what you wear - you can still get a girl's number. It's not that hard. Smile. Be a little flirty, be a little funny. Most importantly, be yourself. Have your own style. Some girls like hip-hop style. Some like a country boy. Some like metro-sexuals. Some like preppy. If you're trying to be what you THINK a woman wants but you're not being you, then you've already lost. I wear socks and sandals at home. If I leave the property, I wear hiking boots. I wear long pants year round, alternating between jeans and cargo pants. I have blank t shirts in multiple colors. I'm 6'4", and a lot of off-the-rack shirts don't fit quite right. I tend to wear button up shirts for added length, and I often roll up the sleeves to hide the fact that they are an inch or two short. Not much of what I wear fits quite right. In my category, it's enough trouble begging for stuff with the right dimensions without choosing the perfect fit.

I am watching this for the first time. Born in 1973 in Seattle, where I grew up, Japanese-American and male. Here is MY blunder, that I'm totally guilty of (yes, at 50), which should turn off ALL desirable women: Ugly sports jerseys! Ugly NBA, NFL, and MLB replica jerseys. I have SO many ugly Seahawks and Mariners jerseys, which I wear to the health club, and NBA jerseys when I shoot baskets. It helps that I look 37-38, but these are still UGLY garments. How bad are these? I haven't even mentioned my ugly sweatshirts and ugly Old Navy pants.

For once I can't argue with any of the style comments you mentioned. Now we need to work on you! You need a better wingman than the one that picked out those stud earrings for you. A pair of simple hoops would complement your face better given your hair length and style. And I suggest you watch this video and count how many times you attempt to put your hair behind your ears. First off; hair behind the ears is a huge style mistake and looks terrible on you. If the hair placement is bothering you I suggest you learn some creative braids to fix it in place. There are some great stylish braids out there and can work as a fashion statement while being practical. I did not once see a bra strap pop out from under that top. Bravo! Either bandoleer bra's if you must with a strap top or braless will work. Tons of women get that wrong.

I'm glad you didn't mention fedoras, for two reasons: One, what most people today call "fedoras"-the little canvas hats neckbeards wear-are not fedoras, they're trilbys, and they seldom look good (I can wear a trilby and make it look good because I know how to dress well, but I seldom do just because of the stigma they have these days). And two, I wear proper fedoras, and I'm not giving up my Indy hat, it's a part of my signature style! 😎 The only time I wear sunglasses they're either an Aviator or Ray-Ban style. And never indoors, unless it's part of some costume. Who wants to walk into walls? Yeah, "I wear my sunglasses at night" was a catchy song in the 80s... but it's not the 80s anymore and it wasn't really a thing even then! That having been said, I totally agree with every part of your list. Men today do NOT know how to dress in public. When I go to clubs, I see that women take time to look good. They're all about how to package themselves, and even if they didn't take a couple of hours to get ready, they look like they did. Guys though just throw on a t-shirt, baggy shorts and flip-flops, and I'm like "wtf, guys? Put some effort into it, show a little class!"

My thoughts/take on the list: No Cargo Shorts?: Come on now! They are comfy and the extra pockets are nice. Also you can't really wear jeans in the summers in the Southeast. Way too much heat and humidity; Flip flops with jeans/pants: fully agree!
