I'm a big fan of you both, and kudos for Mike wanting to try a different avenue. Egypt, this is your old stomping ground. We know you are a big personality, and that independence definitely pops up from time to time. It's not a bad thing. Just sometimes allow Mike the space to finish his questions and responses. Overall, I love this. Thank you to the Jordans for dropping gems 💎 and being transparent.

Yes this is my first time listening to this podcast and I needed to hear these things, not because I didn’t know them but to hear so many couples goes through the same issues at home. Montel and his wife Kristin inspired me to do better. My parents have been married for 53 years still going today. I have been married for 13 years and I have gone through it. But by the grace of God we are still going hard at it. The devil don’t want unity on anything, all he wants is divisions.

This was absolutely fantastic!! My hubby and I have been married for almost 34 years and we choose to continue to learn abour ourselves, each other, and marriage. We met as a freshman and senior in high school and even though we were young, we knew that we held each other's hearts. We married early and made the decision that we will remain even through the times we struggled. Our choice was and is that the quality of our years together is more important than the quantity if the years. At 53 and 57 y/o one of the things we realized is that we could break the generational curse of divorce or staying married for the sake of staying married. We're also working on changing our relationship with money and setting up our family's financial future. Again, changing generations. It's important for others to see that marriage is a good thing. Thank you for starting this podcast Egypt and Mike. We watch your HGTV show and now look forward to your podcast. Continued peace.

I believe you can forgive and still not be obligated to stay when infidelity hpns. I never judge those who stay bc I get it, but just bc someone leaves after being cheated on doesn’t make them weak, especially when that process is not an easy one.

My husband and I got married when I was 26 years old. I am now 51 and yes it was infidelity on both sides. We both decided to stay and work on our marriage, because we truly was in love with each other. When you get married at a young age and you both come from broken families that never had an example of what real love and marriage look like, it can be hard. We decided to stick it out and be the example to our family and children what real unconditional love look like and that’s forgiveness.

I wonder if the marriage would have stayed together if Mrs. Jordan was out having many discretions. When people stop saying I’m staying because God told me to stay or blaming a devil for coming against them. We are God, everything we do is because we choose to do it! There is nothing or no-one outside of self. The kingdom is within!

@@kayc5125 Well here it is because whew… She really deserves all the positivity and love for that, and the utmost level of respect. She did not owe him that. And instead of villainizing the victim, use that energy to lovingly and firmly correct those that harm. Use that as a teaching moment. EXACTLY. At the end of the day, they both did the work to make it work, however, that was a missed opportunity for Montell to be honest and to role model self correction BEFORE the harm is done for those that may be where he was.

Dealing with infidelity from your spouse can be a tough thing to deal with. In a situation where he/she denies facts about the infidelity and you need help with solid proof/evidence against the cheating spouse which is useful in confrontation in the face of the cheater, worry no more as I was able to get help from a guy my best friend linked me up with a PI He has knowledge in cyber related activities in cloning a cheating partners phone for access to solid proof

This is excellent! My Dad, however, did say to me, "If you ever get married, make sure you have a bank account and credit card that he knows nothing about. Because if that n#%$# start actin' crazy, you can get out!" He followed up with, "Don't you get yourself into a position you can't get out of!" Thus, the Jordan Family model is ideal. Yet, we also have to consider a conversation on financial abuse as a reason why some married couples keep their money separated.

Marriage is a covenant that only death dissolves! Divorce does not dissolve the covenant. Romans 7:2-3. When a man n woman stand before God in a ceremony u r making a vow a binding sealed agreement! U promise God that u will stay in this covenant for better or worst in sickness in health until death do u part. The Bible gives ground to separate not remarry when u remarry while the first covenant spouse is alive Jesus said u commit adultery, n no adultery will enter the kingdom of God. Jesus said the reason people divorce is because they have a hard heart. Stay away from divorce people, because according to scriptures they r still bound until death to their FIRST spouse! Let God be true and every man a liar.

I truly enjoyed the jewels provided by both couples. Egypt is still beautiful and Mike compliments her well. I noticed both Montell and Kristin dodged the question about being married for LOVE or MARRIAGE🤔 I disagreed with Montel's correlation of Marriage laws in comparison to gravitational laws😅 he was giving Cult talk vibes. Overall both husbands resorted to cutting their wives off just to get their points across which was blatantly rude😮 What I've learned from my childhood when my father married a woman with 1 daughter and 3 sons is taking on too much responsibility can become overwhelming and the truth is you can not lock in a specific set of emotions. My mother and father always argued about the things he failed to provide for me and my younger sister. He always reminded her he was incapable of taking care of 2 households. He never kept his promises to visit me and my sister and that's when I decided to never make promises. My son is 31 years old and by The Grace of God I've been blessed to give him every gift he has ever asked for on His birthday. Parents shape children to become the version of adults we are. Kristin decided to do the opposite of what her parents did which was divorce. I've decided I will always have my own regardless of my marital status. I have to be responsible for myself and can't afford to hold a man to a vow he made based on how he felt at a particular time💯 Montel said Kristin could've stayed and had 100%. How? When his networth was negative 1.7 million😅 and being married with shared accts with budgets set for spending she's not getting 100% but I get it. I think Kristin gains more from Montel being his wife, the mother of his children and his manager😮 I don't doubt that they love each other but I think they're great as business partners. I just pray that neither of them eat their words😊

I enjoyed watching your podcast and this segment! However, Egypt you made a comment referencing leaving a marriage is "weak!" I do understand because of the nature of this particular podcast you and your husband are promoting one to not use Divorce as the ONLY alternative, however let's be clear if one decides to leave a cheating spouse,, or for whatever reason, it doesn't make one WEAK! It that's an enormous amount of strength to pick up the broken pieces of one's life and start all over again! Matter of fact that is the major reason one stay in unhealthy marriages! I love the Kristen was able to submit to the will of God and stay and she has a beautiful testimony! However, this may not be the path for everyone! I just don't want anyone viewing to feel after one has sought wise counseling and have made a decision to dissolve the marriage this means one is "WEAK!" Many Blessings to you and your husband on your Podcast!

Let me share a story with you: When I was a lil girl my father married a woman who had a daughter and 3 sons. My mother and him argued about what he was not providing for me and my younger sister and each time his reply was I can not take care of 2 households. My father never kept his promises of visiting me and my sister and that's when I decided I will never make promises and I will always have my own. The truth is we can't guarantee to forever lock-in a specific set of emotions. As parents we will always love our children. But, would u feel comfortable having ur grandchildren around ur adult child accused of murder or rape? Just as ur ex husband changed his mind about staying with you after 42 years the message is clear: Always have your own 💯 My heart goes out to you for the emotional deception💔 But he was a great husband for 4 decades so count your blessings amid the fiasco. He's probably being gaslighted by a younger woman and pretty soon his 🍆 won't function properly😅 But seriously, I'll send prayers for ur heart to mend as u learn to become independent and learn to trust again

This episode blessed me because I have been married going on 26 years in March and there is so much more work to be done in me individually and collectively. The wisdom and the revelation the Jordan’s have is clearly evidence of God working in and through them. Thank guys for being obedient to God in bringing this podcast to fruition:

I love this show. My first husband was steeped in infidelity loop, unfortunately he didn’t learn and we divorced but what I did after was I asked God for a man who loved God bc I knew he would show him how to love me. And the surrender piece is brilliant and I think an asset in any marriage. The other thing is this needs the light shined on it!

I love this. I've been married this year 20 years but together for 23 years. I do understand infidelity and the work to keeping a married together. The younger generation needs to hear this because they're the ones that's so quick to leave a marriage at the first sign of trouble, instead of putting God first and working on it. Great job with this podcast.

Wow! That was an amazing podcast! It was so refreshing to hear of the not-so-straight paths that other couples go down and still manage to succeed and come out on top! I’m looking forward to reading their book and watching more of your podcast! Well done! ❤

Like you guest, sit with her!! yes they been through but so you don’t have to. Yo control issue will have you crying trying to figure out what happened. You said it, money cannot bring you happiness and I see you correct him all the time and he hates it!! gurl! Fall back or he’s going to fall out of love with you!!! You don’t have to fall back? Ok, he’ll find someone who will, just enough for him to finish a sentence, he clearly wants you to be great but he’s not eye-candy ect.. he is a good guy. Y’all are a beautiful couple.. pray and I speak nothing but love and blessings over your marriage, in the Name of Jesus!

I love that you guys could persevere through the trial of him cheating. I keep hearing him say "we took divorce of the table". I am wondering if he also took cheating off the table completely or if he feels that he is safe if he cheats because "divorce is off the table"?.

Thank you! I Love how they came together, however I felt uncomfortable with him controlling the answers and talking about "people" and not taking accountability or saying that "weak people leave". Staying is not only on the one that gets cheated on. What does the cheater do to make things better?

@The Renaissance Woman (Maretha Burkley) Exactly, did not sound remorseful at all. I understand what a wife that got cheated on would get from their testimony, even then... But how did he modeled redemption as a cheating husband?

Egypt is going to lose that man if she doesn’t drop her control issues, he can’t even guide the show!!!…. And I watched their show, what I glean from couples is that we need to Shut up more, OMGsh.. let him lead!! Egypt… I’m pulling for y’all, gurl he’s fine but he’s tired of you overpowering! if you can’t fall back a little, you not in your word, come on sis..
