Justin’s telling Alexis he loved her seemed manipulative in part because he appeared to be expecting her to reciprocate. He’s giving desperation which can be scary and suffocating and distancing. Some may be quick to blame her if she elects divorce, but Justin is self sabotaging. He’s caught up in his feelings and not listening and seems to ignore important cues.

Mitch lacks self awareness and that’s where he needs to start-becoming aware that he could use professional help to address his conflicts. She’s in his life for a reason-to learn lessons that help her on her journey to finding her forever… with someone else.

@@shelleycharlesworth5177 It definitely was rejection. She handled it well, but I would not have given him an ultimatum because I wouldn’t feel I could trust him. He’s been giving her all sorts of ambivalent/disinterested signs which she’s ignored. It’s not a good sign if he feels he needs to be loaded to be physical. She said he was giving mixed signals. To my mind, mixed signals are the same as no signals👎.

These guys seem like kids, even Mitch seems just like a 40-year-old teenager. A few - Justin, Nate, and Binh - know what the right things to say about relationships, family, commitment but do not seem to have the judgement or experience to live up to their own vision or dreams for that relationship.

@ACuzEngineer. Agreed! The men on MAFS generally seem to be less mature and ready for marriage. This season, based on their background info, it seemed none were marriage ready IMO but possibly Miguel. But since the wedding, he come to seem more sophisticatedly immature. I don’t think he’s emotionally ready to commit.

Nate reminds me of the early days of Woody…all about laughing with his bff and stylin’ and Woody ended up maturing nicely and his wife managed to mentor him into a great husband. We will see how Stacia responds to Nate. Mitch was a poor choice to be cast. Perhaps he interviews too well…doubt he will truly see himself as an unhappy guy and transition into husband material, maybe after watching back the episodes. Alexis is hard to watch, something shouts grow up and cover the bulging girls. Say No to sex talk. Binh and Morgan are the most hopeful, let’s watch and see their process. I foresee hurt ahead for Lindsey, despite initial compatibility. Really appreciate your professional insight Stephanie. 🌺

I agree with your assessment of each couple. I believe Morgan and Binh have started off beautifully. I think she recognizes that he is not a very aggressive type person. They both have fell into their groove seamlessly. Nate and Stacia will be the one to watch because Stacia is so observant. Nate has a tendency to act immature at times so I am glad she is not rushing and she is thinking logically. Get the post-nup girl, like Momma said, protect your hard work and assets. Alexis and Justin are funny to watch. They both have judgments about the other because they think they know each other because of their Hinge and Instagram experience. Justin knows he was initially interested and here she is, meanwhile, Alexis is learning he may not be as bad as she predicted. I agree Lindy and Miguel each communicates very well. Miguel likes her but he needs to know if she will satisfy him enough to fall deeply, lol. He trying to find out if he will be a sugar daddy or not, lol. There is something going on with Mitch. His behavior is like a person who is going through sexual identity issues. Poor Krysten is on an emotional rollercoaster with someone who is unsure about a decision he made to get married. She will need to ignore his projections and just tune out his negativity and emotional distress to get through this period. The age difference, the lifestyle, and expectations of marriage are vastly different.

I felt Alexis's response to Justin regarding being love wasnt as absolute as it was when she told the women she wasnt in love yet. She likes to play with his emotions. I think she likes him but she also like to leaves room for doubt in his mind. Its a game, she pulls him in emotionally then she pushes him out.

I will try to put this delicately. Based on what I saw, I don't think Mitch wasn't attracted so much as unable to display physical proof of the attraction. It was easier on his ego to depict it as unattracted than performance anxiety. Look at how happy he was after being able to show Krysten affection and follow through (if she had wanted to) after they drank alcohol. I am so glad Krysten had the presence of mind not to take things further. She handled him pretty well so far.

Alexis continues to grow on me too and I share your feelings about Mitch. Nate worried me for the first time and I’m also not sure about Binh and Morgan for the long haul but I’m enjoying them. Justin definitely falls hard and quick and that is not good. That is what Alexis finds scary but she is going with the flow for the experiment. She is very flirty and touchy feely but I don't by "her attraction" to him so quickly after dodging him on hinge and ig! Just because they are now married this way she would move a little bit slower not all of a sudden you this attracted and turned on after a few conversations and 2 nights staying together! Nate and Stacia are different: We can't expect them to get to "proper behavior for a married couple" at the same time - like day two and a half. Everyone needs time to adjust - and adjust in their own time. I don't think it's fair to say: "Nate should be thinking only of this woman that he met two days ago just because they are married." It seems people hang a lot on the notion of marriage - they're married so... all of a sudden they should be acting like a married couple even through (in filming time) he didn't know who she was last week... Anyway, why does "boss lady" need looking after...?

Nate lied when he said the bankruptcy after 6 months was taken care of and all is good. Bankruptcy will be a negative mark on your credit report for 7-10 years. Nate is a conman. Remember, he had been selling knock-offs until the cops told him to stop? Something's really fishy with that too.

Ms. Sheltered was getting on my nerves in the first few episodes, but I think Lindy is doing great in the marriage. For Lindy and Miguel - it’s like 75/25 - currently. She is communicating her past and struggles. She is telling him that to get close to her sharing is caring. She is aware of her “quirks” and ready to moderate them for and with her partner… BUT… Miguel seems… checked out… already. One suggestion I would offer her is for her to stop verbalizing how much she likes him. It’s fine to feel a feeling and not express it. Primarily because I don’t like the way Miguel receives her reassurance - it’s coming off as smug.

As far as the postnup, CA is a comminity property state, so by law anything they both make is considered jointly owned/earned. She has assets/incomes to protect--I think real estate.

MAFS’s pairing of Binh and Morgan seems destined for failure. He wants kids and she’s ambivalent at best. But both have their checklist and neither seems given to compromise.

Morgan's personality may be too over bearing & independent in the long run for Binh UNLESS she's self aware & knows how to tone it down for this marriage. Otherwise they could work because an "alpha" male would not gel with her at all.

Great review as always. I agree with everything. I think Stacia and Nate will work. Stacia is all in and Nate didn't have a problem with the post nup. IMO Justin has confused attraction and lust with love. 3 days is far too son to say "I'm in love with you." Alexis isn't there yet and I'm not sure she'll get there. Alexis needs to stop broadcasting Justin's celibacy at every opportunity. That's a private matter and she doesn't need to share that with everybody.. I like Lindy and think she and Miguel can work. It does bother me that Miguel is pressing Lindy to have sex when she's clearly not ready for that. Mitch is a walking red flag and I do not like Mitch. I predict Mitch will have sex with Krysten but he'll continue to bemoan his lack of attraction to her and to others. Mitch gives me Luke 2.0 vibes.. I like Morgan but Binh strikes me as inauthentic. They're a mismatch and they won't work.

I agree with many of your assessments regarding the couple on MAFS. However when it comes to Mitch and Lindy I have a different point of view. Mitch has indicated that he has been celibate for year and a half and I believe that he has issues in the sexual department. Therefore he is using the excuse of her not being his type as a protective weapon to keep her at bay. But Lindy is mature and a effective communicator who ia not easy to gaslight.

Unlike Noi who also said I love you in 3 days, I believe Justin knows what love is and genuinely feels it. I think being adored unconditionally like that might bring out the best in Alexis. I also think she's attracted to him, or else she wouldn't be kissing and cuddling him and letting him know she wants to have sex with him, she'd be acting the way Jasmina did with Michael. Nate seems like a teenage boy who is trying to act like a man but keeps slipping back. But Stacia might be what he needs to grow up. Mitch = Luke from a few seasons back with the big beard who gaslit his pretty wife the whole 8 weeks. Krysten deserves much better than Mitch. Love your reviews, Stephanie!

Stephanie, my right eyebrow went up when Nate said he was done with his bankruptcy in 6 months. I am not aware of any state where you satisfy the penalty of a bankruptcy in 6 months. I am concerned that Nate is on MAFS for different reasons other than to find a wife. I think Nate & Stacia are cute together but I don't feel like they are equally yoked. Stacia is miles ahead of him in maturity & financial stability. What is Nate bringing to this union other than his manhood?
