Divorced high-school math teacher Charlie Gilbert (Owen Wilson) has been dragged to the concert by his daughter Lou (Chloe Coleman, Big Little Lies) and his best friend (Sarah Silverman). When Kat learns, seconds before the ceremony, that Bastian has cheated on her with her assistant, her life turns left as she has a meltdown on stage, questioning love, truth and loyalty. As her gossamer world falls away, she locks eyes with a stranger-a face in the crowd.
If what you know lets you down, then perhaps what you don’t know is the answer, and so, in a moment of inspired insanity, Kat chooses to marry Charlie. What begins as an impulsive reaction evolves into an unexpected romance. But as forces conspire to separate them, the universal question arises: Can two people from such different worlds bridge the gulf between them and build a place where they both belong?
The film also stars John Bradley (Game of Thrones), Michelle Buteau (Michelle Buteau: Welcome to Buteaupia) and Utkarsh Ambudkar (Mulan).

The point of it is not knowing they'll get together but the 'how' they will and fall in love throughout the story, that's the whole deal in the midst of the comedy and drama of it all.

Saw it with my college yesterday and well as someone who normally cannot STAND romance movies, this is one I would gladly watch over and over again! The chemistry between the two characters was amazing! The songs were pure gold and the plot was just so loving, it had me both angry (*cough* Bastian *cough*), laughing, crying, and dancing. I am so glad I took a chance and watched it.

I'm a sucker for these type of movies. It seriously felt like I was in early 2000s where romcom were extremely popular back then. Would love to see more movies like this, as long as it's entertaining, likeable and fun, i'm on board. Is it predictable? Yes, is it cheesy? Absolutely, and what did I expect from this movie? Just some entertainment, that's all and I got that. Love this movie

OMG I LOVE Owen Wilson! It makes sense, Kat has been through a lot so she wants her pride in tact. Owen Wilson looks to be a great guy, whose a friend to her. He definitely grounds her. How vulnerable Kat is to be able to say she's lonely. This is a gonna be such a warm, cozy, sweet, romantic journey
