@@danoneall4013 you know what my brother, watching foreign people like you and Daud, especially westerners, living in Egypt is like a big argument and a true testimony, for ones like me and other Egyptian people, of not leaving this country to any other western country, despite the harsh life and challenges that we face as Egyptians. @@MegaSaeedi - you explained yourself beautifully. My wife doesn't come from a rich family. She is actually from el-Marg and I love that area. Very local. We all struggle. If I didn't have family or personal issues to deal with back in the states, I wouldn't even go back to America. My wife is a teacher (they get paid just above minimum wage or right at minimum wage) and she has little desire to even go to America. I may dislike your Gov (I don't like mine at all) but overall, Egypt, as a whole, is a remarkable country, full of beauty and amazing food. There are good & bad in all countries. My heart & soul feels like it belongs in Egypt and the entire M.E.N.A. region.

asSalamu Aliekom waRahmatullahi waBarakatuh May Allah bless you, keep you strong and teach you the deen In general studying in Azhar is free, but there are application, Book and some paperwork fees but these usually don’t equate to anything significant. Once someone has gone through the process of getting the high school degree from them, they accept everyone pretty much. As far as studying goes, there will be a need to study outside of their system, because as the saying goes, “you get what you pay for” so there will be things that a student will be lacking in his studies if he were to only rely on the Azhar programs for it. The extracurricular studies are foundational for student of knowledge in general to find the classes that you need, and the time that you need will usually cost some money which can be eased by having a group of people doing it together all pitching in. Of course this differs from men to women but also, once you have a solid Arabic base, there is a wealth of information on KZbin and other resources for online learning that are completely free.

Couple of things. There’s nothing wrong (sharah wise) with smoking. 2) how can a house/apartment be part of the mahr? The man has to provide for his family but his possessions are his own, so she doesn’t really get the apartment in any case.
@DaudBurke
@DaudBurke 2 ай бұрын
Nah smoking is haram and the only ones who permitted it were not aware of the medical dangers yet and so it’s not appropriate to rely on that. “Don’t kill yourselves” “don’t throw yourselves in the destruction by you own hands” “no harming or no reciprocating of harm” all of these texts are clear once we know the facts about the harm of smoking. Anyways the apartment could be given as a mahr and written in her name. This isn’t renting, this it outright buying and giving. Or.. the manfa’ah of a new apartment but that has its issues of being mahr.. the culture plays a big role. And I’m not saying it’s all good.

the recitation style in your outro is called التطريب and is not permissible

If tajweed is not correct then, ok. But this is a matter that is differed upon and this is the tahseen / taghanni that is mentioned in the Hadith according to the view of many scholars. I’ve recited this way on many shiyookh and as long as the ahkam is followed than there is nothing wrong with a beautiful melody.

I would say save yourself the trouble and avoid marrying an Egyptian. Obviously always exceptions to the rule but i would stay away from them trust me i learnt the hard way. And so did a FEW brothers i know.

@@arabic-englishvocabulary4440 i agree that is part of it. But culture is also a very big part of any marriage. I'm on the opinion that you should marry from your own culture, IF you can find a good partner from your culture.

Reread what I said about my family marrying thier own race. I can include friends etc. Divorce rate is high. In my circle of friends and family, not 1 has been divorced when they married outside their race.
