I don't have too much control over the tech stack we use at work since our products are already pretty established. I work on a very data heavy team so a lot of backend and I use mainly JavaScript (a lot of express apps) and Go

Omg so glad someone asked!!! I actually filmed a “terminal tour” bc I love my terminal but left it out of the video bc I wasn’t sure if anyone would be interested hahah I use iTerm2 with Powerlevel10k. I use “Lovelace” from github.com/mbadolato/iTerm2-Color-Schemes

Hi thank you!!! I live in the DTLA/Arts District! To be super duper honest, would not recommend living here tho. It’s the best out of all the Downtown neighborhoods imo but I would recommend not living downtown at all. I show the rosy sides but there’s a lot that I don’t capture. If you’re flexible, I would recommend looking into places like West LA, Westwood, Los Felix. But that’s just my recs

Aw thank you!! 🤍 I think my biggest tip is to focus on how stuff works rather than just remembering syntax. Staying curious. And I always learn by doing, so just start a project and learn along the way :)

Take CS and minor in accounting. It is a very related field. Every accounting and finance system is computerized for the past 40 years.

wouldn’t say it was easy to get a job or to intern, but with hard work, it is doable! I’d say both are great fields, maybe even take the intro classes to both majors and see which ones you like more!

On this day I worked from 10-5:30 with a lunch break of an hour! So a little less than usual but fridays are my relaxed days and in general, I have a very flexible work schedule I’m salaried (not an hourly employee) and at my company, you only *need* to work 1 hour a day to count it as a work day (and not take the day off) haha that’s a little extreme, most people (including myself) work 7-9 hours each day
