I came to this tonight and want to say, "thank you, you're just awesome!" I'm a long-time follower. You're short wkouts from the island were even to much for my lacking motivation the last 2 days combined with tendonitis in my elbows of unknown cause... Turned 50 and feel the fall apart, but before midnight i swore I'd do this simple one and i did. You're helping me fight the depression. It's not a matter of capability...i know where you were, as I'm feeling a shell of myself. You're a savior though. Wish i was there watching the waves and working out in your island morning paradise sessions. I know your shoulder is still nagging you. From my first hand experience with shoulder injury, keep going and moving in your tolerable range. The less I move, weaker it gets, the more my shoulder hurts. Stay safe be well

Thank you so much for your words of encouragement! Yes, the shoulder is still bugging me. The steroid shot I had several months ago has worn off. But I'll keep doing whatever I can do! And you must do the same! xo

Hi, Marsha I never comment your videos, but I wanted you to know how much you helped me to get in shape. I love your workout videos. I know your shoulder injury is a setback, but believe me it will eventually heal. I went through chemo, radiotherapy, double mastectomy, and ganglia removal from my left arm, and I've been recovering my fitness level. You are by far one of my favorite trainers. Thank you! So as you always say: stay positive😊😊

Marsha, your workouts have been a blessing and this one was right on time. Recently and old track and field hamstring injury flared up on me and I just got back to light workouts with my leg. I realized that with all the bike riding I was doing, I had neglected to maintain strength in my hamstrings. So when I went back to running -not young anymore- i started to fast with the mileage and got hurt. The first thing thing I did was search my library for one of your videos. Fortunately, this was at the top and it is a perfect training program to rehabilitate my injured leg. The best benefit of this workout is its focus is on strengthening the hamstring in a way that it directly relates to running and because the program is structured in a way that I can make the workout as strenuous as I would like once I feel stronger, this workout I will use regularly. Oh, and the ab work reminded me to stay on top of that area as well🤣Thank you again for sharing such a great video.

As always Dwayne, I appreciate your comments so much! I've been struggling with multiple overuse injuries (no doubt from too much tennis) and feel like I've been neglecting strength training as well - glutes, hammies and shoulders in particular. Feeling your pain and wishing you all the best for a swift and complete recovery!

Hi Marsha, Ive been doing many of your workouts for almost a month now. I'm 56 yrs old female. When I came across this workout today, I wanted to reach out to say I hope you are doing better and that you did not need surgery. I love doing your videos they are so challenging, and I know when I do them, I'm going to get a hard but well balanced workout. I know that this comes 2 years latter, but still hope my comments mean something to you. When you talked about lack of motivation. In my opinion it shows your authenticity, something that you don't often see, among theses fitness workout videos. I can't tell you how hard I have found this last month to get up and get my workouts done. You have made a huge difference for me, and I can't thank you enough for keeping it real. Honestly sometimes I get a little nervous pushing that start button, lol. But I know it will be worth it. Thanks for all you do. I'm always looking for the next workout. The time zone is a challenge, I'd love nothing more then to be able to do a live workout with you. I live Western Canada. I'll be sure to check out your Instagram. Thank you Teresa

Hi Teresa, Thank you from the bottom of my heart for writing to me! I so appreciate your words and sharing your feelings with me. No, I thankfully did not need surgery. I did a lot of physio and to be honest, ended up having two steroid injections over the course of 18 months. They helped a lot! Sometimes it bothers me still but then I restart the physio and back off of movements that aggravate it. As I've gotten older, I've become more focused on what and how I eat, so that I'm not so stressed if I have to take a break from working out, or do less than I would like. I'm actually launching a program soon called 8 Weeks/8 Habits - Transform Your Body and Your Life. I'm very excited to be able to help people, not simply with exercise but with food. To share what I've learned over the past 30 years. Anyway enough of that! You have made my day! Your words motivate me!!! xo

@@marshahughesworkoutsOh my gosh. I was just having my breakfast and saw your reply pop up. Thank you you for answering me. So glad to hear surgery wasn’t needed. I am very much interested in this 8 week program of course. I’m always striving to eat better. You also mention in another video I did this morning. Hmm sorry can’t remember the name if it. But I think you did it 4 wks ago, it was live, full body workout. You were on a balcony with beautiful birds singing at 7 am. Anyways lol. You mention that you recently joined up with a company called Retrieve? Not sure If that’s the name. But this too sounds interesting. Again thank you, hey lol you just answered my Instagram post. This is so awesome!

Hi Marsha, I've been working out to your videos for a few years now but haven't commented until now. Sorry to hear you're going through some rough times. Coincidentally I also hurt my left shoulder about 3 months ago while doing a HIIT workout (not yours) and it's still not fully healed and it's getting me down. I also love tennis and now I can't serve so that's my biggest disappointment. But my other love is cycling and I can still do that and I find that it lifts my spirits so I try to do it as often as I can. Take care of yourself and see you next time!
@marshahughesworkouts4 жыл бұрын
Wishing you better too - yes I also cycle - I have to keep moving. I almost hope I need surgery so it can finally be healed! It's been so long.

You are amazing Marsha! I had to take a few weeks off from working out because of back surgery. As I have been easing back into it I was so sorry to hear about your motivational challenges and your shoulder injury. Hopefully you won't need surgery but regardless you will get better. Having maintained such a great fitness level for years you will recover quite well. Hang in there. Focus on what you love! Also love your stability ball workout and outfit today. All the best!

Hi Marta this was recorded a while ago but I hope you are doing better now. It was a very personal call to arms you made there which is very honest. Yes we all have to deal with a lot and it was good to hear that in such a personal way which helps us. But you are not alone in all this and you have natural resilience which we all need to remember that we have. Well done and thanks. Btw it was a toughy!

Stay strong, and try not to let it get you down! Protect and rehab that shoulder. Have you tried a steroid injection? That can help the inflammation. Love your energy and workout 👏🏻♥️
