Marshall JCM 800 4103 vs 4211 2x12 Combo | Both Channels

I picked up a 4211 as my first Marshall after decades of clean amps and I love it very much and blending the clean with the distortion is an absolute beauty. I was worried the OG would be a completely different sound but they're closer than ballpark and I prefer mine. Thanks for this video.

I have the same 4211 abd using OD on clea chanel and get great saturatio. Maybe I need to change power tubes since I noticed that need more enhanced EQ Any suggestions please

Thank you for the demo! I had a 4211 - bought it from new in the late 80's - It was the perfect gigging amp and I used it for years - I used a BOSS PQ-4 in the loop to tame the bottom end and kick the power amp a bit - also a delay pedal. Loved the stock speakers - think it was g12t-75. Great amp. I regret that I sold it.

They both sound great and completely different. 4211 to me cuts more on the high end. 4103 sounds more full sounding. Love the tool riffage. Great demo of two sick amps. I would take either one they both sound very useful

I have the 4211, and I have to change the lamps... the manufacturing before it was the good old days when we wanted to make high end... I wanted to sell it but after seeing this video I'm going to buy it keep for my recording studio.

Great Video I have a 82 4210 Canadian version and I love it, it’s got a g12-65 Originally a g12-70 The 65 sounds much better in my opinion Cheers 🎸

Yeah I switched out the speakers with Marshall G12 Vintage Speakers. Much better now

These are both amazing amps, the character is a bit different, the one ch is more '70 more open sound, the dual is '80 and more compressed imo. I own a 100 w split head and a 4104 combo...hard to say which one is better! :)

800s aren't high gain DSL is or can be.

Is the eq the same and same mix used for each?

Eq is about the same, but the settings on the 4211 is weird to get the same sound, gain and volume on 10, master volume low. I am actually preferring the 4211 over it lately.
