Absolutely incredible playing and insanely tight tone

JVM is a hell of a wonderful high gain alla valve beast. Demo it with single coils even on high gain and you will see what an hellbeast is. And the clean channel is damm good too. Marshall at the Top

can u get the tones at a bedroom volume ... or should i go for the 50 watt jvm?
@johnbrooks26462 жыл бұрын
@@satchrules101 Get the 410. OD1Orange alone is worth owning the amp. OD1 is not on the 205 or 210, those amps have OD2 from the 410 on them. And yes, you can get great tones at bedroom levels, maybe one of the best master volume amps ever.
@satchrules1012 жыл бұрын
@@johnbrooks2646 Thanks. I appreciate that. I didn't know about OD1.

@@satchrules101 Agree with John Brooks! I had the JVM210H and had since purchased 3 other flagship amplifiers before deciding to finally upgrade to the JVM410H. I didn’t A/B them but I thought OD1 was more similar but it could have been how they were dialed in. (Death Metal Devin has a video with the JVM205H vs. the JVM410H and all 3 modes sound identical to me between the OD/OD2.) May pare things down at some point but the JVM is the sure keeper. There is something to be said for having 4 totally independent channels of tone shaping ability and the 12 gain modes in total as well. The 2 channel ones loose too much tonal versatility for me, especially since I want to be able to play a variety of guitars through it.

Damn that's a really good sounding Marshall. I haven't heard much of the JVMs. Good stuff like always. The Sykes riff was siiiiiick.

I have tried this amp before in the local GC store and couldn’t get a tone out of it that so like at all- it always sounded overly “fizzy”, but you have made it sound good, as usual. Nice job, Brother!👍🏻

@blakemansfield23564 жыл бұрын
Anonymous User Not really man. I had the same experience as @leosun8469 in a GC years ago, but I also didn’t know what I was doing concerning the modes etc. The only real trick is to keep the gain around 9 o’clock on the higher gain modes. Do that and you’re pretty much good to go, just EQ to taste

Wow. Not sure if mine needs to be retubed but your od2 orange sounds exactly like the best JCM 800s out there
@johnbrooks26462 жыл бұрын
800 tones are in here. Just have to watch how much gain you use. In fact a great Plexi style high gain tone can be had on OD2 Orange, just back the gain way down and manage your Res and Pres.

Great video! How would you compare the JVM to the JCM 800 2204? Would you say this amp sounds better on low volume than the JCM800 2204? Thanks!
@Nightjar7264 жыл бұрын
Now you know you got to compare it with the Marshall 2203. Lol. Killer sound man. Sounds like it doesn’t have the same punch and attack as the 2203. But the basic tone is there

Turn off the pres and res. You got the jcm.
@blakemansfield23564 жыл бұрын
Definitely will in the near future
@lhzx4 жыл бұрын
MBgmail Yeah the difference you are mentioning is mainly the power tube distortion that gives the tone more ball. I agree amps cant be dialed to sound all the same, but this way you can take away the modern sounding extra eq on low and high ends to make it sound more like the older models.

Great demo and playing, is it true these amps are noisy and hiss a lot ?
@blakemansfield23564 жыл бұрын
I’ve read that too. Not true of this one, but maybe they aren’t consistent? Probably more of a tube issue than anything. The higher gain modes have sooo much gain available that you have to keep that low. I imagine if you have the gain up too much you will get a lot of chaos, but the gain at 9 o’clock is all you’d ever need
