Marshall Silver Jubilee Mini (2525h) - Mini Size, BIG Sound - Part 1
This was my first ever amp, well the 100 watt version was. I saw this in a shop and decided to buy it and try it. So here's what it sounds like.
The Mini Silver Jubilee by Marshall recreates those 80's rock sounds, it's small, but the sounds are big. Seems like a win-win situation to me. You don't have to bust your back carrying it to gigs, but you still get that classic Marshall tone.

Never found this to my liking. I was looking at this quite a bit before I bought the one I own today. I will admit I didn't push it that much. For example I tried it with a Gibson, not the Jem 505 I owned then. Eventhough I'm a homeowner I need my amp to cut through at low volumes those times I'm not alone. As you say: you need to ride it at high volumes. So that is a factor I didn't realize back then. I am looking forward to a comparisonvideo though. 👍

I just got one of these and tried it out in my garage music cave. It sounded better through a 212 with Celestion V30s than a 410 with Celestion 10-35 drivers, and it sounded best with the power amp cranked and the input level low, because it’s got tons of gain on hand. A tiny boost drives it into total heavyosity. It’s way loud even in 12w mode and riding the guitar volume helps control the balance. I think you have to work with amp to find sweet spots.

I have an original 1987 50 watt and my favourite set up has always been to set output master of overdrive channel on full and then control the volume with lead master. The input gain is set on about 5 and that gives a nice, warm overdrive that cleans up with volume knob. To get more gain I've used DOD juice box or MXR Zakk Wylde copy wich is almost same as DOD YJM 308. And a delay in a loop... And eq is set up quite middy.

Does it come with a supply of lemon slices to suck to help get the face right ? Sounds pretty decent but then I'm biased as my ears have been tuned to Marshalls since teenage years ( a long time ago !). Looks like you were having good fun :-) .

It sounds good. Just a little dark to me, but I don't have my good AKGs in. Questions:. Have you thought about also using a humbucker guitar like one or both ig your killer Gems when doing these cool reviews? I only ask because, sooooo many people like myself mostly use humbuckers. I realize those are stacked, but they sound more like a single coil to me than a humbucker. Of course you prefer this. 👍😉👍 Also: Have you ever thought about doing some overdrives on the clean channel that sound like another amp besides a Marshall? AMT from Russia comes to mind. I say this because I personally would only use at least distortion ( not a boost or overdrive ) on the clean channel to change the sound to another amp to something like a Soldano or 5150 PV, etc. Then I'd have the Marshall gain on the amp. Hope that made sense. I do realize you only have so much time to work with and I appreciate what you already do. Great stuff, so please do what you know to be correct. Oh. I tried to write you back on some of your emails I recieved from your web site. Don't know if you were able to get them. Especially the one comparing the mellow song ( made me feel sad or reminded me of people I loved that have passed on to the guitar gig in the sky 😂 ) and the shred song was out fucking standing. Made me want to go into battle and kick some major ass. 😂😜 which would be very difficult at my age. 😂😜 Even at 57 though I'm still 5lbs of good looking in a 4lb box, or talking to you I should say Kilos. 😂😜😂👍👍👍👍 Great stuff my friend. Thanks! I have thought of humbuckers occasionally, but the videos tend to get very long if I demo something with different guitars. As for amps, I have thought about what you mentioned as well. I haven't checked my email in a while. I'm off to do that next :)

So my question is the best of these mini amps , so far , are generally one trick ponys. They do one tone the original was known for quite well....but u see where im going. So ur opinion, how is it ? Sounds great on a phone speaker

Sounds compressed and a bit muddy compared to the Plexi with the Malmsteen pedal..IMO.
