Thank you for sharing! It is always impressive to see people who, despite all their daily hassle, find the motivation to share their knowledge and experiences (I guess it is not just about money). It doesn't matter if the subject is of my interest or not, there is always something you can learn if it is well presented.

Hi Dusan, thank YOU for watching and taking the time to leave such a nice and inspiring comment. You are so right "it is not about the money". Now that there is a lot of gray in my beard, I find that life is about the exact opposite. When you do things that do not have money as a motivation, it is those things that bring life's most satisfying moments. You have inspired me to keep making videos. Thank you.

Great demo. Never owned a NMV amp before, so it's taking me a bit to find the sweet spots and to figure out just how unforgiving it can be. No hiding behind saturation. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Jeff! A Marshall SV20H is awesome and once you spend quality time with it, which it sounds like you are, it will amaze you in its capabilities. Thanks for tuning in!

you are so right about the amp being the instrument.....the guitar is too but many just don't understand how important the amp is! Hendrix would sound incredible through a $100 strat through a Marshall JTM45.......

Yes...Jimi is a perfect example of coaxing the magic out of a Marshall! Good to hear from you again.

Great video, can you get gig volume cleans out of this with humbuckers? I don't need it crystal clean, just clean ish to do the job, thanks! ☺️

Hi ollieguitarman, thanks for watching and commenting. To answer you question directly...YES! "Gig volume" like tone is a subjective thing. It depends on the "gig". Are you playing a small club/bar or at a huge outdoor festival? There is no question that Marshalls sound at their best cranked up (7-10). All tube amps sound better when you push them. This little Plexi may only be 20 watts, but is is LOUD. Even at 5 watts it is plenty loud enough to get over an aggressive drummer. This amp starts to slightly break up at around 4.5 - 5 on the volume controls. I would try setting it at 5 - 5.5 and roll down your volume and tone controls on your guitar to taste . At around 7 on your guitar volume you should be hearing some type of SRV style tone, roll it back to 4 - 5 and you will get close to pristine clean tones. Now step on a good overdrive pedal and roll the the guitar volume to 10 and listen that little Plexi roar like a lion!

Being on stage while slinging a solo is the best high on the planet. If you only do it for money, you’re not getting the euphoria it gives.

Hi Mark, thanks for watching and commenting. I used the Friedman BE-OD pedal set for light distortion. This pedal will make any amp sound good.
