Why garp don't help ace Because he's a Marine. It's not just a job, Garp believes in 'Justice'. While the Marines & World Government don't really deserve a man like Garp, it doesn't stop him from believing in the supposed ideals both are founded on. Ace was a pirate, that makes him a criminal. Let's be honest as well, Ace was a great guy, but he most likely Did commit numerous real crimes as both Captain of the Spade pirates and then 2nd Division Commander of the Whitebeard pirates. We can argue it was unfair and unjust to execute him purely because of his lineage, but from a law & order viewpoint Ace was a guilty man. No matter how much Garp loved his adopted grandson, his duty to Justice was absolute, so as the honourable man he is, he stayed out of events and allowed justice to go forward. Of course despite his rigid morals, the grandfather persona interestingly did seep through two times during Marineford. When he had to stop Luffy, his love overwhelmed him and for a split second he was paralyzed between duty and family. It was that moment of inaction that allowed Luffy to suckerpunch him and knock him flying. Then again after the judgement had passed and Akainu had successfully executed Ace, Garp's rage was so fierce that his ideals meant nothing, and he would have gladly abandoned everything to murder the Admiral. I do believe that choosing Duty over Family has left Garp a broken man. I'm sure he knew the reception that was waiting for him with Dadan, yet he went anyway. Garp wanted to be punished for choosing wrong, and the Proud mama bear mountain bandit was the only person in the world who's grief would punch the living hell out of him. Garp would probably have let her beat him to death if she wasn't stopped.

I think the reason Garp got so mad at Akainu was because at first he accepted it but, then they rescued ace and almost got him back to the ship. I think Garp had gained hope that Ace would escape only for Akainu to squash said hope not 5 minutes later

I'm most intrigued by Kong. The World Government Commander-In-Cheif and former Fleet Admiral. What would his morality be. He is obviously very strong, holding Sengoku's position in the past and now an even higher position (highest authority under the Gorousei). Whichever side he chooses will recieve a MAJOR ally as his strength probably is equal to Garp and Sengoku, might even be higher!

It would make sense that Garp would plan out Sword after his clash with Rocks. He probably learned a lot about the truth of the world from Rocks, and Roger also became interested in portions of the information himself. Eventually leading to him finding Laugh Tale. Garp, in parallel developed SWORD to keep an eye on past rocks pirates, using Aokiji and his potential ties to Xebec to cater to Blackbeard when his ties to the figure became obvious. Probably expecting Luffy and Ace to join, but ultimately with that failing he proceeded with the plan, and intends to join forces with the revolutionaries at some point moving forward, and is keeping his eye on Blackbeard through Aokiji.

This quote could apply with this Garp Civil War theory. Since he's saying it to Tsuru's maybe it also implies that Tsuru is aware of Garp's end goal. Forgot to mention this in the video

But having that unique vibe/perspective is what people will ultimately subscribe for. Also don’t rush out content. Quality > Quantity (unless it’s a something based off the recent chapter then it’s better to get it out earlier) There’s a lot more I can tell you when it comes to how to make a good video but it’s too much to type here

Theory As we all know, Kuzan owes Garp his life because Garp saved his life at one point. This has never really been explained beyond that. Well unfortunately, Kuzan left the marines after he lost to Sakazuki. But I think it would be reasonable to think that anyone that has risen that far in the marines has some sense of justice. Especially Kuzan, who seems like a genuinely nice and caring person. This is seen when he saves Smoker. So it doesn't make sense that Kuzan would join Blackbeard simply because they have similar interests. I think we all assume that he's spying on Blackbeard. But obviously he wouldn't be spying for Sakazuki, as they hate each other. So I believe that he is reporting to Garp on Blackbeard's whereabouts and motives. But naturally, Garp is no friend of Sakazuki's either. Now this isn't all. Oda has always made a point to portray two types of marines: those who believe in justice, like Smoker and Sengoku; and those that believe in absolute justice: such as sakazuki. Since the marines were introduced there has been a divide between them. And I think everyone can agree that there are legitimately good marines, similarly to how there are good pirates. I believe that near the end of One Piece, a civil war of sorts will occur. There is so much tension in the marines, and Sakazuki appears to be a ruthless fleet admiral. I believe that he is the straw that will beak the camels back in this case. This leads me to my final conclusion: Raftel won't be the end. Many have theorized that the Gorosei will be the final opponents, and I agree. When Luffy uncovers the truth of the void century, and shares it with the world, the truly good marines will join the alliance to fight against the evil world government. Near the end of the series, we will quite possibly see Luffy, Coby, Smoker, and others team up to take down the world government. Now you may be curious as to where Blackbeard fits into all of this. Well he's obviously being set up to be the final villain. And he has a history of using cheap tactics to get what he wants. I believe he will team up with the WG for some personal gain. And ultimately fight against Luffy and the others. What are your thoughts?

I just found this and damn do you make some good points! I would be more surprised if Aokiji wasn't a sword member or somehow trying to recruit some of Blackbeard's crew and/or prisoners to his cause. On Law's case, I don't think he's Sword. I'd feel like his bad experiences would outweigh the positive and create distrust except in rare few cases. I could see him trusting Garp and Sengoku and actually becoming an ally with Garp. He's the kind of dude who'd feed Garp whatever info he'd feel would be useful/important to know on his own terms.

What if Aokiji is also a part of it? Aokiji was always seen as the more humane of the admirals, theyve shown him to stand out from the other Admirals in that regard. It would also make sense, knowing that Akainu succeded the heads of Sword probably wanted Aokiji to leave the admiral post and assigned him to something else, because unlike Sengoku and Garp, Akainu is heartless and he would do whatever the celestial dragons want and mercilessly at that, and since the admirals answer directly to the tenryuubi, Aokiji wouldnt have Garp or Sengoku their like before to watch over him and have his back. Therefore im pretty sure Garp and Sengoku have sent Aokiji on mission, which most likely directly involves blackbeard too.

There is the possibility that the whole revolutionary army is essentially being controlled by Sword, it's not impossible to imagine and would explain how some major members of the revolutionary army managed to hide in Impel Down for so long despite probably being even further up the list than Ace for execution. That is to say that Emporio Ivankov might have been aided in Impel down by Sword. But even if the revolutionary army isn't currently connected to sword, should a civil war split out, it's very likely that sword would ally with the revolutionary army and then that would create a rift that splits the world in two. Given that the prediction is that Joy boy would return and the war start, it does seem very likely that a course of events like this is about to start given that Luffy now appears to be the new Joy Boy which was predicted to follow 800 years after the void century.

Akainu is a Sword member, Oda said that Akainu has a sword tattoo, now now that doesn't actually mean he's a member of sword I mean it could mean anything possibly something part of his past which we don't know about, but I found it odd that Oda would reveal that Akainu has a Sword tattoo, he also mentions that Akainu has 3 other tattoos, a sword tattoo, a rose tattoo and another tattoo that I forgot what it was, he revealed this so long ago too.

SPOILERS This is a good theory to consider. Obviously now, though, some of the details require adjusting. Like, Vegapunk is likely to side with Sword and/or the pirates, considering the setup in the current Egghead arc. I also don’t think Fujitora is a member of Sword, but his goals do generally align with theirs. His primary goal was the eradication of the corrupt Warlord system, but he was on Dressrosa as part of an official military sting operation. Sword operates more in the shadows. That being said, I do believe he will find himself against the World Government in the final war, since his mission is against those who harm others and the Celestial Dragons are the absolute worst.

Eh. I don’t think Sengoku is a part of it. I think his whole story is that he always wanted to go the route that Garp went, but he was too much of a wimp to do it. Thinking that it’s no way to beat the Gorosei. At the end when Garp is fighting on the opposing side, He’ll fight Sengoku while Sengoku will be like “Why you couldn’t just be a good marine” or some ish like that.

The reason why sengoku chose aokiji over akainu because he tried to kill coby for standing up to stop the Unnecessary fighting two he brutally killed ace. For all people who are thinking that ace was executed that was cold blooded murder and not even a execution for one that’s the main reason why aokiji quit and sengoku retiring and garp also cause they didn’t want to follow the path of absolute justice so they all founded sword and coby is apart of it.

The reason why is because Akainu is “Absolute Justice” and Luffy wants to be the freest man on the seas the Pirate King. Even if Akainu respects Luffy in the end he opposes him in every way from an ideological standpoint

i disagree, i saw a video from a one piece youtuber that said that all the 5 elders are related to real life prominent historical figures and all of them have done bad stuff except one of them, and that is the tall member with the long white hair and white beard. I believe he is the true leader of sword and he is also a spy for the lost kingdom from the void century. It would be a great plot twist from oda to make this man the leader of sword and it fits in with his real life counterpart as the character hes based on did nothing wrong

I don't know about Sengoku. He killed Ace or the one who heavely pushed his death to it actually happening. When he heavly believes in guilty by association. Using Ace to trigger White Beard, knowng Garps heavy involvement with White Beard and Gol D Roger. He even targeted Luffy.

@@raptor909 Thats true. But looking at Sengoku what he did to Ace was his goal. H actually pursued Ace before the Gorosei even said anything. Since before Ace's actual birth. He was privy of the favor Roger asked of Garp. Inspite of that, when Ace was finally caught he wanted to finish what he started and take White Beard down to. He acted more in the favor of the Celstial Dragons then was necessary. There's no way he'll actually partake in Sword. Although he's possibly aware of Garps involvment.

Ace was still a criminal at the end of the day who committed his own crimes and allied with Whitebeard. He wanted to showcase the War and the leader of the next generation being killed in front of the world to discourage pirates in the future. Basically to counter what Roger’s death created

He's more loyal by the books to the how the world is ran currently. Then what were understanding. So even if hes aware of his fellow Marines attempts, for change I don't believe he would directly involve himself. I think he's to strict in his ideology, but would welcome the change.
