One of the most interesting things ignored till now by many people is when kaido started to see luffy's potential and we see everyone smiling like Roger,shirohige,oden and xebec had smiles on their face but shanks wasn't which only goes to show that shanks never negotiated with kaido but used his power to stop him from coming to marineford or there might be some reason for shanks to look like that because we have never seen that side of shanks till now. I think that adds some significant meaning to shanks's character. It should be analysed trust me oda might be forshadowing something about that.

I believe this is also related to Imu and its name. Imu backwards mean Umi, which basically means Sea. And like i said in the past, Luffy will punch Imu so hard that it will get drilled all the way to the Earth's Core, creating a ripple effect that will literally shift the tectonic plates. The key to everything is the toki-toki no mi. With a devil fruit that manipulates time, I believe that who wrote the poneglyphs was some previous/future user to this fruit. Since Kozuki Toki died around 20 years of the current timeline, either someone (in the current era) inherits the fruit and goes back in time to guide luffy to liberate the world from whatever dark secrets it has; or a user from the era of Joy Boy had it and traveled to the future, to guide the next Joy Boy.

I think only someone of the d clan can use the gomu gomu no mi but there’s one specific d clan member born every few years that can awaken the fruit, joy boy (luffy) since joy boy would technically be the dawn before the light (the d clan probs stands for dawn) and since the fruit is the sun god fruit it would make sense. That only the person that brings the dawn can awaken the power of a sun god and it would make more sense of why luffy was the only person to awaken fruit in 800 years. Also would explain why the stories of joy boy and the sun god over lap because they’re the same person.

since "bringing the dawn" seems thematically tied to luffy and odas original name for the series was romance dawn. gonna day the d. stands for dawn. and it was a group of people from the ancient kingdom that adopted the initial to show them and there familys work to restore the world and take it back from the celestial dragons. that is why they are "enemies of god" even if they have forgotten over time the personality traits at that prevailant in those bloodlines lends a predisposition to fighting authority. so they dont have to know there purpose just carry on who they are as a clan and people will eventually do the job, or assist someone else doing it.
