The difference using Sports mode in my 14,000 mile black 2018 Chrysler 300C Hemi changes the shifts holding them UpTo redline and adds cool down shifts similar to Rev match. When I was at my local Dragstrip for test and tune. I found letting the transmission shift automatically in Sport mode was the best way to run the car since I found it was to easy hitting the Rev limiter using the paddles and the standard setting shifts weren't as crisp. I enjoy it so much that I only use sports mode around town. I just added a K&N cold air that sounds fantastic and feels faster. I'll find out during my next Dragstrip visit. I really love my Chrysler 300C and the luxury and performance it offers. I normally trade car every 3-years, but have decided to keep my 300 because I enjoy it so much, and I believe FCA will discountinue the 300 since most buyers want the highly advertised Charger. I test drove both and the 300C was an easy choice for what I was looking for In a sedan.

On my 2015 Hyundai Elantra, 'Sport' is just one of three(the other two 'Comfort' and 'Normal') steering modes. The difference between the three is slight, but pretty much what it does is change the amount of electric steering assist/boost. In Comfort mode the steering is light(maximum assist) almost vague, whereas in Sport the steering is tighter and heavier(less assist). Normal is, well, normal! Kind of in between. I experimented with different tire pressures for several days at a time, and found that the biggest differences between the steering modes could be felt with the cold tire pressures set as close as possible to the pressures listed on the B-pillar load sticker, 33psi. Actually, I run 32psi all around, as I find the 33psi a little too harsh and jittery. I run Normal steering mode in town, and Sport on highways, which relaxes the driving experience a bit and reduces the need for constant corrections at 60+mph.

It also runs at higher rpm's and lower gears. Only shifts to 6th gear on the highway at speed limit or slightly higher. Turn off sport mode, then it will shift up to 7th and 8th. Good for in the city driving, not so much on the highway, though. Unless you are just get'n on it. It's a suoer nice fun car to drive. I own a white 2017 300S.

I have a crossfire srt6 and I accidentally left traction control on out at Byron speedway. When I launched it, the tires slipped and the engine bogged to regain traction. Do you know I ran my fastest time ever. So in my book traction control feels like you are losing speed, but not in reality.

I love it when people who *DONT* drive the car comment. Even when you turn traction control off, it’s still on. Press break pedal and then ignition button to start car.

So many questions left unclear and unanswered. First the times clocked were for what distance or speed? I saw the speedo at 100 and the time at 7 sec. So was that 0-100. The very next slide says the 0-60 time was .24 sec faster in sport mode. Which is it. Then it's unclear whether you put the car in S using the dial and then press dash button... or each is separate. And at the end he says the dash button gives the impression of best overall performance but then leaves you hanging by not give you stats. Overall I was left wondering. Plus he didn't get into traction control and sport mode.
@gravs7145 жыл бұрын
You must not have payed any attention. First off he is in Km not mph because he lives in Canada so it was 0-100km which is 0-62mph in the US and the first run is in sport mode on the dial and the second run which is slower by .24 seconds is with the knob just in normal drive mode. Hope that helps clarify
@Sexii_Az_Stud4 жыл бұрын
So do I need to have transaction control off in sport mode? Please explain to me why or why not
@chucktyson96884 жыл бұрын
@@Sexii_Az_Stud Leave traction control on and put it in sport mode. When you do that you will be in 4 wheel drive and with traction control the car will sense any tire slippage and adjust engine to backoff just a bit to regain traction. Without traction control on, if a tire slips you lose all traction. But by simply backing the engine rpm's down you regain traction and can actually go faster than otherwise without traction control. Sport mode is basically 4 wheel drive. And traction control keeps the wheel from sliding or slipping out of control. It may not seem like it, when the engine rpm drop in order to regain traction, but that is a better way of accelerating on wet pavement.

MOPAR ARTS R/T:::If you have a V6 300S it has 300 HP "tuned exhaust" compare to the V6 300C you have 292HP AND NO SPORT TUNED. Now the V8 HAS 363 HP ON BOTH 300S AND REMEMBER the 300C PLATINUM HAS ALSO THE SPORT MODE on the shifter is to tuned the trans and the button on the dash is to tuned both steering and suspension but without the sporting look to it on the 300C. If im not mistaken the 300S V8 5 speed from 2013-14 the whole car is in Sport mode already no switches.... Im sure that goes for the 2015-18 300S V8 with 7 or 8 speed trans but this i have to investigate to confirm it.

T Weezy::::I remembered that the AWD feels softer because of the 19" wheels and you have more of a tire and its heavier because of the tranS and drive shaftS and axleS compare to the RWD it has 20"wheels with 245/45/20 tires has a firmer ride due to the semi low profile tires.
