I think I've discovered this piece a week ago now, and I listened this piece at least 30 times after this discovery. Due to the splendid performance I must listen to this piece at least once a day. Especially the second part, Largo, is beautiful. Thanks Argerich, Kissin, Levine, Pletnev and of course the string orchestra!

I doubt this can be considered one of his most transformational works since Vivaldi was the original composer of this concerto for 4 violins. Beautifully transcribed by Bach yes, but composed by Vivaldi

These are people whose professional recordings I have all enjoyed. I look at each one of them and I think about their interpretations of my favourite pieces and how they have collaborated with the others at some point in their career. Please stop calling all music songs. I also ask you to refer to your computer dictionary for a definition of the word "song." Remember SONGS = SINGING. Big companies call everything songs because they can divide these pieces up into many segments and by charging you for each part make more money.

Con mis escasos conocimientos musicales, debo confesar que no alcanzo a comprender el alcance del comentario de Iván Pérez Margarito. Fue J. S. Bach quien convirtió un concierto de cuatro violines y orquesta en un concierto para ejecutar en cuatro pianos. Siempre creí que el trabajo de J. S. Bach era el fruto de su talento prodigioso. Y como los pianos tienen 82 teclas (creo recordar), esta versión hay 328 teclas disponibles para Bach y para los ejecutantes. Luego, no logro entender que haya una "exageración de teclas", tal como lo cree Iván Pérez Margarito. De esta versión del concierto Vivaldi-Bach, que acabo de conocer, sí me produce admiración que incluya los cuatro pianos más una orquesta de cuerdas. Las otras versiones que conozco están interpretadas con solo cuatro pianos. La suma de los cuatro pianos más la orquesta me resultó una versión más grandiosa que las versiones solo pianísticas. Coincido con Iván Pérez Margarita que el resultado es una delicia. La combinación del talento de dos grandes de la composición musical no podría ser otro que el de una nueva e inmensa genialidad. Muchos saludos. Y un agradecimiento reverencial a dos seres humanos que nos hacen mejores, que nos enriquecen y nos elevan cada vez que los escuchamos.

It seems MARTHA ARGERICH has many Treasures hidden beneath Her Angel-Wings! Here's another. Beautiful music, so wonderfully played. And such an excellent recording, and wonderfully filmed. Its plain to see All-And-Sundry performing this had a gas! This gives us All hope, that Human Beings can make True Beauty, instead of Fighting among each other and wreaking Destruction.
