"Martha's Harbour" is a song by the English band All About Eve, written by Tim Bricheno, Andy Cousin, Julianne Regan. It became known as the group's signature song.

I remember being taught how to play this track, in the very late 80s..... nah, I still didnt get it and couldnt play the whole thing end to end, let alone sing it at the same time. Very well done, it sounds great.

What a lovely, lovely cover. Such beautiful vocals! There is a song by a unknown 60's folk singer named Dayle Stanley. The song is called, "Letter from the Willow Tree." You can find it on KZbin. Just type in Dayle Stanley and name of song. Actually there are a lot of the songs she sang to hear (she had two LPs) The song I mentioned above is one of my favorites by Dayle Stanley. Thought it might interest you to cover.

I've never been formally tested but on self-testing I'm Soprano but these days I need to be really 'warm' for those top notes. When you think about Joni's voice, it's incredible as with all those soprano/mezzo folk voices. Joni says (I can't remember where I heard this) that she's a Contralto but with a bigger range and if you listen to her range, its HUGE. The challenge for me is that I'm first and foremost a jazz/pop singer and do not have belt, so these songs are a fantastic challenge. thanks for your interest! :)
