Recently, you asked for suggestions for future shows. One thing that's needed is a whole cooking and baking book for singles. A lot of the recipes on your show and elsewhere are more appropriate for families or gatherings. They can be difficult to pair down just for singles though. It would be nice if you had a book or a series of shows that would help with this!
@blackgarmentbag74822 жыл бұрын
Good idea. I usually make the larger portions and share with friends but a recipe book for singles would be cool.

If a cake is to big to serve at one time, I cut it into slices, wrap in plastic wrap, put the slices in a freezer zip top bag, label and when you have a taste for cake, go to your freezer. It’s as easy as that, or make it into cupcakes as he suggested and you have 24 happy servings.
@kilodeltawhisky15042 жыл бұрын
The freezer is a great place to store additional servings. I'm single and if I don't share with friends, I freeze for the days/evenings I don't feel like cooking.
@MyChilepepper Жыл бұрын
Yes and no. Some baking recipes are not economical to bake just for one due to the big family oven size. Unless you have a small countertop oven, that would be great. You can cook for two or doubled the recipes for freezing and air fried later.

Did I hear that right??? Seven (7) cups of sugar to make those carrot strips?? You know, people are health conscious today, is it really demonstrating responsibility to say use 7 cuts of sugar on ANYTHING, let alone something as whimsical as this? It's excessive - even for Martha.

Carrot cake IS NOT SOUTHERN. It was first made in EUROPE AND BROUGHT HERE. CARROTS WERE USED TO SWEETEN THE CAKE BECAUSE SUGAR WAS EXPENSIVE. I am so sick of southerners claiming things they had nothing to do with.
