The whole movie is a good watch. The blooper reel during the end credits shows Jackie breaking his ankle to powder by jumping from a bridge piling onto a boat. He still had to finish the movie so he got a sock airbrushed to look like a running shoe, then wore it over his cast.

I was going to mention the outtakes as well, because they show one from this scene, and he doesn't quite manage to dodge getting sandwiched by one of the pinball machines, and it looked like it hurt kzbin.info/www/bejne/eWW1ko2Xmth5erM#t=2m25s

wouldn't call it a blooper reel more like deleted scenes and shown to the public to show/prove how hard he and his team works unlike the west thats full of cgi/stunt doubles, in those days tis rarely stunt doubles, even the girl in "police story" wasn't a martial artists and still was thrown through glass panels

25 yrs ago I was a 20-something in Los Angeles and my friend asked me if I wanted to go see "Rumble In the Bronx". I had no idea what the movie was about or who Jackie Chan was. It was one of the most pleasant surprises in my movie-going life. I've been going through dozens of your videos this week. Thanks for your commentary and the excuse to revisit all these classic fight scenes!

It’s sad how this was the intro to Jackie for some. I was raised in all the old martial arts movies. So it was weird when my friends freaked out on this new martial artist guy. What? That’s Jackie Chan. Fearless hyena. Meals on wheels. The drunken master? Yikes. At least they know him now.

What I always like from Jackie Chan's movies are the out takes. Like with this very movie the shopping cart scene in the Dang hideout, just shows how hard these are to shoot and make look good.

There's another Jackie Chan movie that you should checkout is Mr Nice Guy. It's been a long time since I have seen the movie, but can't remember where a good fight scene is. There's maybe one fight scene that I remembered, he's in a shopping mall doing his cooking show live in front of an audience. Sorry, I just saw Mr Nice Guy trailer, there's a great fight scene at a construction site too. Here's also a surprising thing to know as well, the movie was also directed by Samo Hung.

The Young Master by Jackie Chan. Hwang In-shik beats the crap out of Jackie in the final fight (on and off screen), he's being super stiff and a lot of the choreography is improvised. He's a very legit hapkido master and he came and did a demo at our local theatre. He shit talk Jackie (said he made him cry) and then went and injured the film presenter with a joint locking demonstration.

Jackie Chan in his prime and Donnie Yen 30-40 years ago if MMA was around they would have dominated it. Hell Scott Adkins said if Donnie Yen did MMA he would dominate it and that was just from a few years ago from Ip Man 4. Yet Donnie Yen is almost 60. And I do not doubt that Donnie Yen would have ruled it.

God I love and hate jackie chan films. I love them because he does such a great job of NOT being an overpowered monster of martial arts in his films. His fights FEEL like what a chaotic group versus one fight would be. Just tons of running, desperate dodging, single shots whenever possible that DONT obliterate the opponent, and taking hits because nobody, no matter how good they are at martial arts, is going to fight 20 people at once and walk away unscathed. What I hate is what doing things like he does did to his body. Every film had a "blooper reel" where half of them involved some injury minor to near crippling rather than something funny. Shattered ankles, torn up and heavily burned hands, nearly broken spines, jackie went through so much agony to make these films.
