I really like hard coop games. One of my favorite is Robinson Crusoe, and the rulebook is not great either :)

What part of the rules is less than stellar? I imagine there are FAQs on BGG, but hopefully future version are clearer.

The FAQ certainly helps, but there is still a ton of ambiguity. Also the rules are all over the place, there is no index, the way certain items are described are not clear, certain elements of the game are just not included in the rules, etc. etc. Once you get through the rules, you will do your first play and find out you did half the things wrong since there are some new mechanics here (which are awesome btw) and so you find the game takes FOREVER at first. This can really turn people off from the game. Once you get through it though it is worth it IMO. Hope that makes sense!

@@OneStopCoopShop I just bought the KS version off Ebay (for 125 bucks (another 30 for shipping) OUCH ) and panicked cause I did NOT get these plastic buildings then I found the original KS nad it looks like these were an addon collectors set. The prepainted ones looked awesome! Hope you got around to painting yours :) I was also missing the 3 plastic pieces for excavator etc but then eventually found those pieces UNDER the cardboard insert which was a head scratcher as to why they would put them there. Are you still playing the game ? I found a newer version of the rules on BGG . Any suggestions for new players ?

Shoot I sold that game so many years ago.. it was a bit flawed but maybe the revised rules will help!

@@OneStopCoopShop Ahh bummer :( I saw the artwork and fell in love with that initially and then the thought of engine building on the board itself and advancing capabilities of a martian outpost really appealed to me. hopefully I get a couple plays out of it anyways. (We LOVE tera forming mars and there are a few other mars themed games in my collection )

They really need to send their backers the revised rule book. If it was my game and I sent out the horrible rule book I'd definitely replace the books for those backers that wanted it I've had the game since the Kickstarter campaign shipped out and I even bought the painted buildings and I still haven't play it. The rules are that messed up.
