Agree with Renita's point about mid-pack battles, Fabio had some great battles this season The look in Marc eyes in the post race interviews make me worry for everyone elses chances of winning next season (also the 20 podiums on old machinery this season)

Highlight of the weekend for me was David Alonso's win. Not for the fact that it was a record breaking 14th for the season, but to fight back from 7th, then get pushed back to 4th again and still make it back to the front and win, was PFG. 👍

@@StefanMedici Maybe but we all known it wasn’t a satellite team, Repsol Honda had contracts with Criville and Okada, so HRC set up a one bike team for Rossi and his team was made up by HRC employees and his NSR 500 was a 2001 full Factory HRC bike The only difference was the colour of Rossi’s fairing

Martin's Pramac team was as much of a factory/satellite team as Rossi's Honda was. Martin's bike is as factory as it gets, but different team, we all know how Pramac was connected with the Red crew,, so personel is the main difference but Rossi and Martin had the same situation in terms of that context

I liked the singing :-) Also, I'd be interested to hear your views on Morbidelli and how he's retained a MotoGP ride. Seems a lovely bloke, but surely he's been under-achieving for a good few seasons now. This year he's been on a 2024 Ducati...and not challenged for a win ever. I know he had an unfortunate start to the year, but you can't use that as an excuse for a whole year. It's frustrating that so many other riders can't get near a MotoGP ride, and yet it seems Morbidelli has a live-pass to stay there - maybe he has a friend who has a lot of influence :-) I'm surprised it's not spoken about more.

Agree. He redeemed himself this year but perhaps not as well as he should given he had the best bike. No one talks about it at all. He seems to be untouchable, one of Rossi’s boys. He obviously has talent or he wouldn’t still be there, teams do seem to know who can ride, but one of the luckiest I’ve ever seen for years of gross under performance, just terrible in the Yamaha.

Well what did 2015 teach us about MotoGP? If you're not in the championship hunt, you can't get involved (race) with the riders who are fighting for the title. The only way Martin would lose is if he fell off his bike. Unfortunately Motogp finales are tedious even if a championship is on the line.

It's funny that we say it was a season of mistakes that was the defining factor. It could be argued that pecco was marquezed by both brothers. Without them two dnfs pecco would have won by 35 points. Just saying 😂

Pecco was 100% to blame for the crash with Marc, and 50% or more with Alex, Pecco took a massive unnescasry risk, to impatient to pass a slower rider he went for a move that would have been incredible if it worked but he was taking liberties attempting it. Pecco should never have put himself in that position at aragon, the Portimão crash with mark was forgivable as a racing incident but Marc had that move done, there wasn't room for pecco to cut back.

the new logo is rubbish, its not even a logo at all, its just to shadow f1, piggy back off f1 which also has had a dreadful logo since 2017. and i think Liberty are aiming to rebrand as MGP like F1 is Formula one. but the Manx Grand Prix has been the MGP for a century, so it feels like they are stealing the name to me. An infant could have done a better job at branding f1 and motogp than this, and the new slogan is makes me cringe. i was looking forward to the liberty takeover, now I'm starting to have doubts. but something had to change I'm just don't think the logo was one of them.

Love Keith’s ground roots insight, disappointed that we had no insight in the bikes for 2025, the logo doesn’t really make a difference to the racing, brining in bangers will wreck MGP the same way so many classes have diluted BSB, many classes should be in the club scene not the pinnacle of British Bike racing, it worked well when we had MRO as a stepping stone to BSB now we have every Tom dick and Harry who’s got a few Bob and want to get on tele, so riders with real talent get overlooked, it was horrendous seeing people like Richard Cooper wiping the floor with club racers on TV that will certainly dissuade some skilled riders from spending they’re hard earned pennies to enter an over priced championship,

Aero is a lot easier to police than people think. Forget specifying radii, returns, surface areas etc. Just specify the location of a datum line and say that in CFD the bike shouldn't generate more than X amount of downforce between 2 angular limIts.....Easy!!

I like Martin as World Champ But a big But I always think the person who wins most GP in the year should be the world champion so we had Martin racing not to win just to score points. 11 wins to 3 wins and your not world champion seems wrong to me

That’s one more reason why sprint races should never been implemented, cheapens the Sunday race in my opinion. Saying that, I think Jorge Martín thoroughly deserves being crowned world champion, think about it, he might have had a 24 bike, but the factory team have so much more in reserve regarding people and technology, for a satellite team to do what Pramac and Martín did is just exceptional.
