The 60s really were revolutionary but very eye opening. With Luther King Jr and Kennedy showed the working people had real power and truly peaceful and thoughtful intentions. Unfortunately, the Government had also shown how ugly and relentless they were in keeping the status quo, and what we've seen since and have now is because of there grip on power and greed that knows no end. R.I.P. Dr. King Jr, your dream will one day become reality, sooner rather than later

seems like people never learned. Because in 1992 The LA Riots happened in which the entire city was lit up in flames and many people were pulled out of their car and beaten to death and many business had been destroyed and looted.

I was ten years old, on the south side of Chicago, when MLK was shot. I honestly didn't know who he was at the time. I do remember the mob that burned cars, looted businesses, and pounded on the door of our second floor apartment scaring me literally stiff.

4:25 Dr. king did say, "he have a dream." But he also said years after, THAT DREAM BECAME A NIGHTMARE. The main reason the media don't show the last 2 and a half years of his life, because he went from encouraging integration to speaking EmPOWERment to his people and promoting reparations. He was starting to sound like Malcolm X speaking emPOWERment to his people. And the reason the GOV't assassinated MLK.

1963 The March on Washington , I was 19 years old. No problem what so ever that day considering the number of people there . But The summer of 1966 when King was murdered tears, anger and destruction. Tear gas came latter but didn't stop anything.

Mat Broomfi ... Your comment are foolish. I will say that you wasn't here when this happen . If J Edgar Hoover/ Head of the FBI , the feaderal Gov , and LB Johnson president of the United States was Againt MLK. then that include the whole country had to pay. Washington DC was only one City that riot. DID JAMES EARL RAY SHOOT MLK? IF SO WAS ANYONE ELS INVOLVED? IT IS STRANGE RIGHT AFTER JAMES EARL RAY MENTIONED A MAN BY THE NAME OF Raul HE FOR SOME REASON HE DIED IN PRISON. JUST AS JACK RUBY WHO SHOT AND KILLED SIRHAN SIRHAN IN THE POLICE STATION COME UP DIEING IN JAIL FROM CANCER. EMANUEL NOREGA OF PANAMA DIE IN PRISON BECAUE HE DIDN'T WANT TO BE A US PUPPET ANYMORE. THIS GOVERNMENT IS AGAINT ANYONE REGARDLESS. AND THAT GO FOR WHITE PEOPLE ALSO.

He gathered a crowd of 250,000 people in his "I Have a Dream Speech," got the Civil Rights Act of 1968 passed days after he was assassinated due to the riots, and he's not great because he hadn't met God in his lifetime. My, you must have some grand accomplishments to not be impressed by that.
