See seven short films about MLK and the civil rights movement in his time: kzbin.info/aero/PLJE9rmV1-0uAk8ex7JratUR5GX-LGP8lZ These films were created together with an exhibit at the Nobel Prize Museum called "A Right to Freedom". nobelprizemuseum.se/en/a-right-to-freedom-martin-luther-king-jr/ Martin Luther King Jr's life and work were a fascinating part of an important stage of 20th-century history. His fight contributed to several important legislative changes and other advancements. His dreams, ideas and ability to express them seem timeless. And his ideas extend far beyond his own time and the society in which he lived.

His voice and way of speaking is something I can only dream about. If I ever get to the point where I can speak to others with even 50% of this clarity, I will use my voice to its fullest capacity. Our voices can ring so loud when we use them in a way that honors God. He was a vessel, but he had the technical skill to carry out His message in such a powerful way that reached millions of Hearts. It’s a blessing.

There is this quote by Horace Mann that absolutely fascinates me "Be ashamed to to die until you have won some victory for humanity" I have been keeping a list of people who have accomplished this and MLK is by the far the greatest to have made my list of people. There is a wisdom, a control over his emotions, a true love for people, and a dream he spreads to the world. He is perhaps the most remarkable person to have walked this earth. He lived a great life, full of purpose, he will forever inspire and move people.

The dignity of the man is most admirable. He will have been gone from us 55 years shortly, but his words are still as relevant today as they were when spoke them and instill in the heart of the hearer the courage to wage his own personal battle wherever he sees wrong. I said this many times, and so say I again, if I had been with him on April 5, 1968, there is no way that I would have allowed him to stand out there on that balcony like that- unprotected and vulnerable.

Why would people dislike this type a post is beyond me. The guy deserved the award several times over. His work was not just for black people for for all race and class for EQUALITY. Clean non violence acts and still murdered because of hate. Mr. King Jr. All I can say is , "well done good sir".

Doctor King is great, but you do insult to some other really great people as well. J'eanne D'Arc, Emily Davison, Gandhi, Sir Isaac Newton, Confucius, Nancy Wake, and many more. Our history is a rich tapestry of heroic and revolutionary deeds, and Doctor King has definitely earned his place among them.
