Pulls lower jaw off of lap. Wipes a small tear that ran down the side of my face (someone cutting onions??). I didn't even know MM Band had even done this cover! I had goosebumps watching and listening to this! RUSH is one of my all-time favorite bands, even though I'm mostly a Fusion Fanatic, but DAYUM, this was amazing! Martin's guitar work was simply stunning. Paul's solo was fantastic. Marius filled out the sound so perfectly. Benni somehow managed to play Geddy flawlessly. And then there's Felix! DUDE! WTF??!?! I'm a drummer of 40+ years, and that was truly phenomenal! I so loved this whole song and the playing was absolutely amazing! Once again, BLOWN DA F*K AWAY! Bravo guys!

I've seen rush live and this is without a doubt incredible and pays absolute respect to music in general. Innovative and incredible. I'm a huge fan of your band.

What a great drummer. Laying down the tracks for the other musicians to give their best performance. This guy is really good.

Nice. I love it when musicians use a cover to both honor the original and as a framework for their own contributions. It takes some serious talent and skill to do that with a song that already showcases the virtuosity of the original artists. Excellent work.

I've been blown away by a number of your videos but the musicianship in this is off the charts!!

Holy smokes! I just found this video!! It’s great when a band respectfully covers a song. These dudes put a little extra sauce on this one

Which is why I don’t like this version at all. It’s clearly played well and at a very high technical level. But it’s all wrong.

@@dmann4912 We hear remakes like this and some of us tend to forget who gave birth to the original. This remake wouldn't exist without the Holy Trinity. In my worthless opinion, doing remakes is fine but dont revision it. Dont walk all over the previous artists efforts and creation until you have transformed it into your own song. Write your OWN song. The extended guitar solo - forementioned at 2:53 - was stupendous- but it wasn't YYZ at that point. There's no need to "show up" the original writers and performers by trying to prove you're a better drummer/guitarist/bassist in an effort to play the song better, faster and higher.

@@TheCaskOf43 Couldn't agree more. No question these musicians are amazing in their own right. Its like hearing a bunch of guys trying to outdo each other and the originals. The problem is you can't outdo the original because it was the best to begin with.

@@TheCaskOf43 are you an actual musician or just a music enthusiast? Dude wanted to do his own style of solo on the song so... he just did it. I think you might be in your own head saying that he's "walking all over" the original. He's a musician so he's just having fun with that chord progression. He wasn't thinking "yeah this solo is going to be way better than the original!" If he has his own style, just let it be and let him enjoy performing music... don't make him conform to the original writers. If we wanted to hear the original, just listen to the original?

Nico had the job we all wish we could have had that day!! Can you imagine how cool it would be to see Paul shred up close like that? Awesome interpretation of this song. I’m going to raise my patreon pledge amount :-)

This'll be my new YYZed to play.Seeing as I've only listened to the song about a trillion times now. This one is different and rather interesting.A nice change up.And it only took 5 guys and a human capo to play it! (; Thanks for the refreshment! Regards from a Canucklehead from Kanata!
