Martin, I must say there is but one thing about your videos that I do not like, they always seem to end too soon. Thank you sir for providing so much enjoyment.

Watching this video, I was making a mental list of Martin's treasures. The wildlife, the scenery, the changing seasons, even his handsome pots and pans, and then I realized the best thing of all, a peaceful heart, so that he can slow down and enjoy it all.

Martin, just found your channel. Beautiful! Thank you! I'm building a Timber Frame on our property near Flagstaff Az. in the pine forest. I spend two to three weeks each time I go (it's 750 miles each way) and I spend the time alone most of the time (with my trusty dog Shasta) I try to go every four months. Time spent alone is special. I don't like being lonely but I cherish solitude. Time spent alone gives you perspective on life. To think about the things that are important to us, to make decisions that require some thought before commiting to them, and to just appreciate the rapture of being alive. Yes, it whittles down life into the most basic and simple. ..... " “High technology has done us one great service: It has retaught us the delight of performing simple and primordial tasks - chopping wood, building a fire, drawing water from a spring” ― Edward Abbey
