I bought a special order cargo trailer 14x7 with 5, 30 x15 windows and ramp back door . Built a wall in the back so you open the ramp door use it as a patio and I built a wall across the back with a screen wooden screen door and a hard door and built the inside like a log cabin with snowshoes on the wall ,coonskin cap,a old sleigh and other things . I feel like this guy does when hes in his cabin and it's a great feeling. Also a memory foam mattress with hand made quilts ,small 2 door refrigerator freezer ,sink ,leather loveseat with a hand built sleigh coffee table.

Isn't it amazing when water is not readily available what a valuable commodity it becomes. At our camp, dish rinse water became the water you used in the pail by the door to rinse off your sandy feet before coming in. Great post Martin...you always make me think.

I have the same coffee pot and tea pot......relics of the late 60s and early 70s. I watch a lot of Cabin and outdoor videos. Many folks fill theirs cabins with the most modern and up to date do-dads and conveniences. Martins is the best. His is filled with items that I’m sure are filled with memories and fond feelings of days past, friends and family long passed. Using the old items and learning to get by with what’s on hand is most of the fun. That and telling tales of where it came from and experiences and fun times that went on at the time. Its not the prettiest cabin by far, but to me the most Beautiful and wonderful of all.

Martin, as much as you chow down, it's a wonder that you're not as big as the cabinet..LOL. Watching you do the dishes brings back memories of growing up in the country of Arkansas. We used to burn burlap in barrels (smoke) to keep the skeeters at bay. You should carry a handgun when out on your walks. It's best to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it. You are definitely living the dream for a lot of us...

Same for me Martin, the chicken/turkey is just a technicality...love stuffing. In the bird or setting just outside...I like the toasted stuffing too and gravy. Now I am going to have to get that out of the freezer... :)

My best friend and I grew up together, our wifes were also best friends who grew up together. Two years ago they and their daughter were planning a trip to Ireland but his wife passed away unexpectedly . One night when we went out to dinner he ask my wife and I if we would go with him and his daughter on the Ireland trip. His family came from Ireland . He had done some research on the Jameson 's and named some of the family. It was sort neat to go to place and see pictures of the people he talked about. Went to a castle that was owned by three Jameson sisters and to the place where whiskey was made.......and none of us drink. It's such a lovely country and a great trip.

I didn't think it was possible. I thought I had watched every one of your cabin videos...heck, I've watched some 3, 4, even 5 times by now. Usually when I rewatch one, there's one particular thing that happens during the video (either something you do or say) that cues me in and reaffirms that I have indeed watched it before. Didn't have that happen with this one; don't know how I missed it. I did move during the 2nd half of July in 2019 (shortly after my father passed), but I know I've watched the videos that were uploaded just prior to and right after this one... At any rate, it was a nice surprise...kinda like having a 'bonus' video, albeit from a couple years ago...lol.

Amazing how a small space can get disheveled in short order, isn't it? I am always working at keeping my den/guest room from becoming a hoarders' hell, but we have a tendency to stick stuff in here that we don't have a place for immediately. Usually stuff we don't want to take down to the basement right away. At least now the bed can be used as a bed! That was a nice little jaunt you took! Stay safe.
