Honestly, the "Steve Martin, Martin Short, Chevy Chase" era was the darn best thing to ever happen. Those were the golden days. This brand of comedy - "ironic" as it is - is all about depravity. The odd thing here is, they all celebrate their depravity, in terms of irony. I suppose this all qualifies as "comedy". Shuffling off this mortal coil awaits us all - especially if AI trends the way it's going. As John Maynard Keynes put it: "In the long run, we're all dead."
