There’s always this irony that the places that diss on Florida or Texas or call other states fly over states are themselves by far either the worst state or country. Like New York and California often do that and they’re horrifically violent and drug filled places, and Canada also is terrible. It’s like if a dictatorship were also super boring.

This brand of comedy - "ironic" as it is - is all about depravity. The odd thing here is, they all celebrate their depravity, in terms of irony. I suppose this all qualifies as "comedy". Shuffling off this mortal coil awaits us all - especially if AI trends the way it's going. As John Maynard Keynes put it: "In the long run, we're all dead." In the mean time, we're all just a bunch of sh*t-kickers. A gloss on The Bard (um, y'know, shakespeare) - "if music be the food of love, play on" . My counter to that -invoking the Shakespeare thing is - there is no clock in the forest. We're all on borrowed time.

That's why I like Norm Macdonald, he didn't give a damn about what was 'allowed'. "Orange is the new black...... but not in _my_ apartment building, _Kevin_ is the new black." Norm also liked to gamble on sports. Boxing for example. When asked how he decides who to bet on, he said "I always pick the bigger, blacker guy."
