The fact that he was more than happy to rerecord the entire shrek movie in a Scottish accent just because he thought it was better and convinced them to do it, is why we have the greatness of Shrek now. Thank you good sir.

I had high respect already for Mike Myers, but hearing that he rerecord for Shrek boosted that respect even higher. His humbleness of giving credit to the talent working with him and helping him attain the highest caliber of quality, even in sillier movies like Austin Powers (which I still enjoy rewatching)

I was homeschooled my whole life, then I went to FSU and discovered Bailey Jay and Annabelle Lane, for those 4 years I was emptying the glue gun 5-6 times a day not including ghost loads. Then after college I got sent to a mike pence church camp and now I only do it on Saturdays now. Am I a hero? Maybe? You can decide.

Mike Myers is so generous towards the other talent. Most actors seem to play dumb, when it comes to giving credit where it's due. That gives you an idea of how collaborative of a spirit he has! I was hoping he would talk about his Ray Foster character in Bohemian Rhapsody, because the other actors have spoken about how deadly serious Myers was about getting it just right; that he takes the art of comedy/acting/production very seriously. He was uber-prepared with all kinds of concepts and things to try. I'm somewhat paraphrasing here, but the other actors said that it was like watching a masterclass.

I don’t normally get into knowing specifics about actors/actresses when getting done with films but Mike Myers is an actor that I can visualize and know specifics about because of how much of an icon he was in my childhood and still is today…Truly amazing personality and person ‼️❣️😌

We all owe him so much. He has made us laugh to such a high degree. He’s earned all of his success with all of his insane characters. Great guy.

Mike Myers is on an episode of Inside the Actors Studio, which is basically this interview but much longer. Please enjoy!

Now we finally need to let him make that 4th Austin Powers movie he’s been wanting to do for some time. 🤞🏻 Especially after the Super Bowl commercial with Dr Evil.

Yeah he has to wait decades for the material, because the whole thing is based on time travel so now they need to do the 80's and 90's with some other frozen agent.

I don't think it will happen. Modern society wouldn't see him the same way we did in the 90s/2000s. I been wishing for more austin powers but know it would be viewed as sexist and would probably have cancel culture after it.

I always loved Mike Myers as a comedy actor, then I remember sitting up and taking notice when he played Steve Rubell in '54' - he was absolutely magnificent in his portrayal, and my respect for him grew even more. I wish there has been some reflection on that role here too.

I always loved his flicks. In the early 2000s I could watch the Austin Powers movies like literally every week! (Still can though)… he seems to be such a humble and cool dude. All he’s talking about is other people in the background that made his movies cool. That’s the sign of a big heart! 👍👍👍

Mike also had the script to Shrek rewritten because he didn't want to voice over Chris Farley's lines, who was 90% finished with all of his lines for the original storyline before his death. I think he went through with it for Chris.

@@missmoxie9188 Because in 1997, creating a 90-minute digitally animated movie took several years to do, and some still do. They record character voices first, then animate around the audio.
