The Dolphin was written by Brazilian pianist Luiz Eça and was first recorded and released by his quartet Tamba 4 in 1968.

Mr. Martin, I had the privilege of watching you perform in San Diego at East County Center For The Performing Arts about fifteen years ago? prior to that, my sincere apologies, I never heard any of your music or saw any of your performances. But, since then, I become a big fan of you, I have several of your videos and I tried to tackle your version of Georgia On My Mind, which is a favorite of mine, but it is still a work in progress. You are a supreme Virtuoso! But you still touch the heart with your sensibility and artistry. Thanks for the inspiration. And, this is an absolutely beautiful rendition of this piece. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🎼🎸

A beautiful piece, played with sensitivity and elegance. Simply wonderful!

A great example of making it seem way easier than it is. Especially when that rhythm gets going and the melody just effortlessly sits on top of it at a higher volume. Martin has done so much to advance the fingerstlye playing

hi Stephen, yes I was fortunate to capture this video - now becoming a piece of history -

He's a phenomenal picker. I saw him once in Pontardawe, and he was more chuffed about his recently getting one of his cartoons published in The Dandy than the fact that he was a guitar great!!! A lovely man.

I like that you focus on Martin's left hand to see the super he can fret all these notes producing layers of melody at the same time

I think, for the most proficient guitar artists of all time, it would be impossible to grade them apart from popularity of their particular genre. To get an idea about their skills, ask their peers. This is a beautiful piece, beautifully played.

There's nothing wrong with his playing. The gig is live and mic is close and therefore you get the sound of fingers sliding! In the studio you can acheive a better recording.
