OK ... OK ... clock system ... that is automatic due to the feel of restriction. This is awesome as I can work with that to further work on my shortgame. Great that you keep asking questions and refering to things. That deepens the understanding. Again ... awesome. Stay metal dude. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻

3:00 He talks about 3 different release points , then later, when asked at what point the club should be released, he says @6:54 "you don't want it to be conscious. You are not really trying to make it happen". So then how do you make 3 different release points happen if you don't consciously make it happen???

Never seen anybody asking Dan this many thoughtful questions. Yes, he is a god, but people should never do things "just because". This also brings the best of Dan because he gets to explain that his methods don't come out of thin air, they have good reasons behind a will put you in the best place to succeed. Great video! Congrats.

He dropped a ton of nuggets on you in a short time that will do wonders for your short game over time. Grip pressure at a minimum that can still support the club will be huge for you because I'm sure your grip pressure is off the charts. A key will be to not make a divot your short game shots even when taking a full swing. Next is when you told you to engage the ground behind the ball prior to striking the ball if you are opening the face and using he bounce. This will also be useful from further away from the green because it will deaden the strike and reduce the ball speed which will be really useful for you. Finally when he had you over club yet hit the ball the same distance as this will greatly tone down your "hit reflex" because instinctively you know that you have way too much club and so these shots will literally feel like chip shots and for your that will greatly increase your accuracy. I can't imagine how hard it is for you to develop touch at the speeds you generate as I know how tough it was for me swinging at 129 mph. That lesson alone though is going to greatly impact your game I assure you. Fantastic video Sir.

Martin's Golf IQ is obvious. He knows where Dan is going with the concepts before he even introduces them, the clockface approach to pitching being the obvious one. Loved this interaction between the 2 of them. I thought Martin might have knocked Dan down at the end with the back slap!

I'm not sure if Dan will read this, but I'd be curious to know his thoughts on how those fat grips Martin and Bryson use, as to whether he thinks they would be or not be a problem with the short game, would they hinder say release 3 for example. Yes Bryson is awesome, but his own admission is hes far from the best short game on tour

I wonder how Martin would fare on the PGA tour. He couldn’t use his long drive pedal-to-the-metal swing, but he probably still would have 20 yards on the longest hitters, e.g. McIlroy. He’d be coming into all the greens with short irons. Then it would just be a question of whether he putts well.
@jacobr4558
@jacobr4558 5 ай бұрын
History suggests he would not do well. Gold is a combination of many skills. It would be like if a quarterback could throw the ball REALLY far and straight. Ok that's a start BUT can he read defenses, throw in front of/behind/lob over/ assess situations etc. Its 2 different worlds
